Kinda of seems odd for OKC
Are they about to go all in on someone else?

More seriously, I assume OKC got a 1st for eating his salary.

I'm going to guess the Jazz are attaching the 2RPs they picked up from Memphis in their draft deal.

That seems like a steep price for favors. He’s not that expensive.

2 years at around MLE . If we are absorbing in full at best that’s a top 20 protected first that eventually become 2nds ? At worst we get that second upfront .

Why does it seem odd of OKC? It's pretty much their modus operandi. Get an asset to eat salary, and then probably flip that guy later for another asset. Rinse and repeat until they own every pick in the draft.

Most seemed to love the Favors signing last year. I thought it was a waste and that he looked washed in NO. About 98% of my opinions are wrong so feeling good this morning.

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

Fine for both I guess.
but someday Thunder might start building a team.
Yesterday was a nice chance but they passed up.

So OKC went into the draft with 3 1st rd picks, and left with 3 1st rd picks + 2 drafted 1st rd players
That ain’t right

To be fair, most Jazz fans expected the lessened load to help him, but guess it wasn't. The signing was also a favor (no pun intended) to Gobert. Favors was the only negative asset on the team, so I get the deal from the tax bill standpoint to re-up Conley. May also be an addition by subtraction as Udoka is now the primary backup big and he needs minutes to develop.

Said in reference to Utah's trade assets in a potential Doncic deal.

always good when the super obvious trade we explore here happens in reality.

They no longer care about the actual draft, Presti is all-in on collecting future picks.
