A real creative use of the word "update."

Yes, most reporters call those "corrections" except that I tend to agree with the previous poster that Paul probably said those things and then realized he was creating some real problems for himself and for his client, who wasn't a part of this drama previously.

That's certainly possible but if this is really all Rich Paul speaking, why would he choose to use Jason Dumas as his mouthpiece. There are dozens of more credible reporters who would happily get out whatever Paul wants out there.

If that's me you're referring to I was being sarcastic honestly (should've used green font). I think this "report" was an easy shot at Paul that he realized wasn't accurate or the best thing to run to report.

Paul does some iffy things at times, but he's not an idiot.

Yeah, along with the fact that Dumas seems to have been losing credibility as he goes; that if Simmons was traded there would be a starting pg spot ready for Maxey; or conversely that if Simmons is outgoing Maxey would be outgoing as a backup? and all that so that the player would not work with unnamed charities that somehow is not being picked up either locally or by anyone nationally who isn't a hack?

It just is the sort of thing that gets thrown in the special filing cabinet.

I would wager its IT first actually. Just because I think he's the one of the three most likely to actually give an NBA team something. I have zero doubts that if he can stay healthy he can still get buckets in the NBA.

The Lakers are waiting for Memphis to sign them, then buy them out first.

No problem. But usually it requires 3d party signing and later then sending them to Memphis with assets attached. That’s how we get 25 rotation players and 6 1sts in 3 years.

No concrete news. My guess is he's going to be in Toronto for training camp.

Genuine question: is Hutchison done or does anyone still see NBA talent in him. I haven’t seen him play in a while.

Due solely to position, there's probably at least a non-guaranteed contract and some G League run in his future.

He was aweful for the wiz last year, half our team was hurt or had covid and we were still playing PGs at the 3 over this kid.
