I don't see CLE as a viable Simmons destination since the whole issue with him is he needs to be somewhere where there isn't a packed paint. What is he supposed to do sharing the court with Allen and Mobley? And John Wall is the point guard? Yiiiikes

Agreed. CLE could do either but definitely not both. I don't think it would even be a huge upgrade if they did given the post move roster fits.

Love&Rubio -4- Wall has merit. Its still a lot of extra money in year 2 for basically their 3rd guard. They might need additional incentive.

Simmons isn't a great fit either. Spacing is already an issue and most proposed deals make that even worse because at their core Sexton is headed out and Simmons in.

I do like a three way framework with ATL if they're willing to get bold consolidating their wing talent.

ATL gets Simmons
PHI gets Sexton, Galli
CLE gets Huerter, Jalen Johnson

...plus whatever else makes that work.

Huh, looked at the cba faq and can't find anything concrete about what happens if an incentive changes season to season and becomes too big of an unlikely incentive. Wonder if that 15% thing is only calculated at the time of signing (the language in the faq just says it can't exceed 15% of base salary in any season, not clear if that only needs to be true when signed, example being they couldn't put a big 50 games played incentive in year 3 because that would be unlikely at time of signing). Otherwise I guess you'd have to convert the rest to base salary? Idk if the cba works that way in terms of automatic restructuring. Would love to have that cleared up

Well it comes down to how much better Philly believes they'd be with Kyrie and Embiid vs BRK with their new trio. That's the only trade proposal I can possibly see Brooklyn entertaining that another team would offer, which would spawn a tweet like that. Anyway, I refuse to put more thought into a response to a Nick Wright tweet
