Wild! I am thinking some sort of draft comp is going to LAC. I refuse to believe Bledsoe is worth that package.

Memphis gets off Bledsoe’s guarantee for next year, LAC gets an actual tough guy. And this cuts LAC to 15 guaranteed deals.

I think this is a really good trade for the Clippers. Bledsoe can reasonably run an offense and puts pressure on the rim. Not a great shooter, but really they are looking for pieces that fit in the following season when Kawhi is back, and I think Bledsoe does.

Grizzlies won this. They'll be cutting guys loose, but they won.

I dont see how Bledsoe can be considered an actual tough guy, but not Bev, when Bleds couldn't even admit to his tweet being about wanting to get out of Phoenix.

Clips also save about 5mil in salary. Guessing that's a pretty big part of it.

Good trade for both teams. The Los Angeles Clippers shave off six million dollars this year (HUGE Luxury-Tax savings) and get the best player in the deal, while the Memphis Grizzlies shave off Eric Bledsoe's $3.9 million partial guarantee for next season. This also opens up two roster spots for the Los Angeles Clippers and gives them the flexibility of guaranteeing Eric Bledsoe's contract to trade during the next off-season.

I will be interested to see if Rajon Rondo or Patrick Beverly get rerouted/cut, and if the Clippers fill those roster spots.

Beverly is a punk who plays dirty. Bledsoe is a strong level headed presence. The former loses you games.

Beverly is a team player, who elevates his squad on the defensive end with his intensity.
Bledsoe thinks he is worthy of being a top option on a good team and is horrible in the playoffs.

was this offer available for pelicans? bev would've been useful on pelicans.

According to Bobby Marks, Clips save about ~30M in tax payments and generate a $8.3M TPE. Depending on how its used, if it all, would make me actually like this trade. Otherwise, I hate it.

Is Bledsoe enough to get the clippers in the playoffs?

Why would the Bulls or NOP agree to such a move without anything going back? I mean, Clips don't even have many SRPs left to offer.

Yeah or they preserve it and make a strong veteran buyout offer after the deadline.
