Kings get - Ingram
Blazers get - 4 first (2 Sac -22/24 & 2 Zion’s — TBD) + 2 swaps (Kings 23 / Zion’s TBD) Bagley/Lewis + any of Barnes/Buddy/Hayes they want if they can make salary work.

Zions get Dame, let’s hear him complain about that.
Kings get to break playoff streak and have a great young core.
Blazers rebuild with prospects/4 firsts/2swaps/ + salary dumps for players to flip later if they want.

This is the basic outline. There are lots of variations, foundation is Dame goes to Zions and Ingram to Kings and draft haul to Blazers.

Kings could throw a third first rounder, top 4 protected, but remove Barnes from consideration.

That’d be 5 firsts and two swaps. Plus, what the Blazers could get for CJ, Nurkic. We are quickly talking about OKC level draft stockpile over the next 5 years, paired with the Blazers being terrible.

Or they could build around Ingram and a couple Pels/Lakers picks. I think going full OKC has appeal. The Kings help facilitate that (2/3 first + swap(s) + Bags + salary for flip guys).

If the Blazers are really going to move Dame and rebuild, Ingram is in the way…they don’t want a lead scorer…they’d want to lose.

Isn’t that better than Simmons/CJ? As a Kings fan I will say this, if you are going to do it…go all the way. Full OKC, settle for nothing less or else we’ll see at the gym on the treadmill, we’ve been here for 15 years.

When your franchise is all about one guy and you live and die on his whims and wishes….

The concept here is this:
-Pels feel they have to please Zion right now. Enter Dame, Zion can’t keep complaining and cage rattling then.

-Kings have to make the *** **** ***** playoffs and have a real young core since before Twitter.

-Blazers have to look at life post Dame with clear eyes and cash out to the max.

I mean maybe, from some team. But that’s going to crush the draft assets coming back. No team is giving up a Hali and three firsts and swaps and taking salary for flip guys to be the third wheel in a Dame trade.

Why not go all the way? Be flat out terrible for a couple years. Have a ton of picks to use, package and trade. Put maximum options on the table from the start. That’s my view anyhow. But what do I know…oh that’s right…what treadmilling for 15 years looks like. You don’t want any of this smoke, please trust that.

Ingram plus picks. Godaddy has it right, but Kings out. Take Ingram and a couple picks, trade other players near or over 30 for more youth/picks. Ingram is a good piece to build around with hoping other picks pay off, but he isn’t good enough to individually make us a treadmill team.

A player like Ingram (Cousins) often moves you from 1-4 to 5-8 by winning a handful more games (and barring hitting big outside the top 4/5), you end up drafting in that range for a year or two and then you go from 5-8 to 9-14. Plus you’re a small market, not desired by FA’s. Now you have Ingram (aging out his contract) and good (not great) supporting pieces.

I’m not an Ingram fan but he has more value around the league than the bad contract, bust and off court drama attached to bad picks in OP.

This ignores that Ingram is converted with this assistance into Dame. And 2/3 Kings first, a swap, Bags and salary dump for flip guys isn’t far off from Ingrams value solo. How many first, prospects and how much salary do you think Ingram returns? I can see better offers, maybe, but not radically better. And that’s not the point anyways, the point is what return the Pels get…in this case Dame. That’s pretty good, no?

I wouldn’t do it with Ingram either but Ingram and bad picks is better than the 3 stooges and bad picks.

I’ll ask again, what would you be expecting? And how is that better than a full strip down, total rebuild with OKC level picks?
