Nah. Already had House and cut him loose. We don't need a second helping.

I can't imagine the Suns ever turning this down in real life. And definitely not over Cam Payne.

Oh that makes a lot more sense lol. My bad. I was gonna say a hurt guy, an average backup PG and a 2nd tier prospect for Wood/House felt insanely good. Cam Johnson definitely more cause for pause.

No way the Suns do this trade. Cam Johnson is an important core player and Jalen Smith has big upside.

Wood is a good player, but he doesn’t look a good fit next to Ayton, he is more a C in this era, so he would be a backup on the Suns.

Not sure either team does this tbh. Don't see where wood really fits in PHX, Cam Johnson fills a more pressing need. As for Houston, Cam Johnson has contract status going for him but he and wood are almost the same age lol

I think Saric/Smith and a future lightly protected 1st for Wood is better

I don't think Smith has much value until he actually at least has flashes. Does not bode well that they didn't trust him to be the backup C next year. Not sure Saric+Smith has positive value, so that's a definite no

Cam is good offensively.
Terrible on d. Even during his “big” game he was abused. Who ever he was covering scored. Six times in a row during the Bucks run.
Guy might improve but not playable at this point.

Wood is not being moved unless significant compensation is given.

Neither team does this and your comments of Cam Johnson are entirely wrong.

Watch the tape. Can was abused. His offense was great but whoever he covered got the ball and scored.

This is crazy. Cam Johnson is one of the bright spots for the Suns on defense. He had some trouble with Giannis, but so did everyone else on Phoenix. He is a really good shot blocker, and stays in front of his man. An Average to above-average defender, a great shooter, and an exceptional fit for the Suns.

Wood is a good player, but I can't see Cam J on the table for him. Creates more problems than it solves for Phoenix .

In my deal of Wood for Saric/Smith and a lightly protected future 1st-the main get is the future 1st.
Hous should go for the worst record again-full on tank to guarantee a top pick. This deal would help them do this, and free up minutes for that Turkish kid. Maybe the future 1st is unprotected?

Wood is locked into a friendly deal. Cam is 1 year away from getting paid ... like Ayton and Bridges ... can the Suns keep them all?

Uhh Cam Johnson is locked into the same years for a much cheaper contract than Wood is. He is only eligible for an extension next year, won't be a RFA for 2 years.

Houston isn’t OKC.
They aren’t trading good players for crap just because someone dangles a 1st in front of them.
If teams want the Rockets to trade Wood, the offers are going to have to be a lot better than this or busts like Bagley.
These offers would get you Gordon/House/Augustine.
Not even close to Wood.

I have to agree with Suns fans. Having that bouncy forward that can shoot and doesn’t need the ball in Cam Johnson is a hell of a luxury. I’m not sure I would give that up either.

Saric is a nice versatile bench forward, and I haven’t seen much in Jalen Smith yet to care about. He just looks scared a lot of the times to me. So the rest of that is fine but I’d think twice too before trading Johnson.
