But he isnt in the LBJ entourage so probably wasn't welcome.

I find it interesting that Memphis is getting salary dumps and OKC seems to have zero interest even though they aren't doing anything else. Presti went from doing everything to doing nothing and its really confusing.

They have to be holding out until the deadline to be a 3rd or 4th team and hopefully get a longterm piece. Deals to take on money for 2nds will be there still plus he can play the salary floor trick of ownership not having to pay out a full salary that counts as full for the floor.Texas Chuck wrote:zimpy27 wrote:Lakers and Memphis seem to have a solid relationship for trade. Could also just be that Detroit and Memphis are driving the price down to levels he doesn't want to sell at. Iirc a lot of their dumps happened when they were the only active seller of space.Texas Chuck wrote:pacers33granger wrote:They have to be holding out until the deadline to be a 3rd or 4th team and hopefully get a longterm piece. I guess but they have $60M in TPE's and room under the tax line. Would have thought he would have taken some now and still been able to do more at the deadline. But maybe this is paying back the governors for those years of paying tax? I get OKC's local media deals have to be among the worst in the league so I'm sure these have been tough financial years. But even with that, its surprising to me.
