So the story is that he refused to be subbed into a NBA game for Sacramento, yet you expect him to accept an assignment to the G-League by Toronto?

I have him refusing an assignment to the G-League.

Am I missing something? I have this deal pushing the Kings into tax and saving the Raptors a lot of money. I think neither team makes a move this big with their G-League team in mind, but if someone is turning it down first its the Kings who aren't going into tax to turn Thompson into Boucher and pay $20M for a 5th or 6th guard.

I have him refusing an assignment to the G-League.

It would be a risk the Raptors would have to take. The Raptors still obtain significant center depth with Jones and Thompson that makes the trade good for them. It protects Siakam, OG, and even Barnes from having to play the 5 even with potential protocol or injury.
