C.Joseph
J.Grant
K.Olynk

for

D.Mitchell
M.Bagley
T.Thompson
4 2nd's

Why for Det?
2 significant expirings (while taking in less salary) and D.Mitchell (23 year old rookie with utter trash stats. No, I haven't watched him. Heard about his good defense which he can maybe earn minutes on while building his game).
And 4 2nd's that OKC might give us a 1st for.

Why for Sac?
all 3 incoming players can play and fit in as long as Sac likes double-pg line-ups. Giving up Mitchell and 2nd's isn't the saddest thing. Taking in extra salary might hold them up.

As a Detroit fan, I would have loved a deal like this around draft time because I was super high on D. Mitchell.

I thought he’d be the perfect backcourt mate for Cade with his 3&D.

At his age/ experience, I’m really surprised that he’s struggled so much given his opportunity on the Kings.

At this point, I’m a little down on Mitchell’s potential ceiling and I’d have a hard time accepting that package for Grant.

I think there’s still some upside to Bagley at 22 but without having an option for him next season it’s pretty difficult to offer much when the Pistons could just sign him in the off season.

I would do it, I liked Mitchell in college but agree he gets a little overrated in the pros.

Saben Lee is a better offensive player than Mitchell for whom Detroit needs to find minutes. There is just not enough value for Detroit. Goes back to previous proposals offering Bagley, Thomas, and a protected first round pick for Grant without Olynyk in the trade. But this proposal has beeb rejected by Sac fans so it is hard to see Grant ending up in Sac.
