If there isn't a first coming from Boston this looks like a home run for them.

If the Raptors are able to turn Thad Young and the Pistons second into E. Gordon, the East is going to be a killing fields for the rest of the season and playoffs.

Spurs saved all their midseason trades for this year.

I don't really get this for Boston. Love it for the Spurs.

But still I don't recognize this NBA where the Pacers and Spurs are both trading win now pieces for futures.

Spurs are blowing my mind this season - simply by being active.

Seems like a good deal for both teams.

Will Langford get a second contract?

Boston side is easy.

Kemba/Brown/Tatum didn't work.
Smart/Brown/Tatum didn't work.
Schroder/Brown/Tatum didn't work.

The problem is the pg doesn't help the offense flow enough to use both wings as a cohesive offense, so they just needed to fint a new pg that would.

I'm cooling on this for the Celtics. Langford was at least good enough to get minutes (granted he's coming off his rookie deal so perhaps that influenced their thinking). The have a three-PG rotation of guys who can't shoot now. Maybe they move Smart in the summer but that's not going to help for the remainder of the year.

I hate this deal for SA unless Boston falls apart. They didn't need three firsts this season. I guess they're going big-game hunting this off-season at least.
