Well, well, well, we all know what today is, time to eat some crow.
Just like the others it's you not the other guy that you just want to put on blast.
As always lets look back.

In my experience crow is best when eaten hot so here goes.

I’m sure I’m in there somewhere.

I thought there was no way PHI could get Harden.

Well done, Morey.

CJ McCollum returned more than I expected. It was a little closer than I initially thought since it seems like they need the pick to hit this year and I overrated NAW's value but still - I got it wrong and crow is deserved.

I also thought the Simmons trade would ultimately be Curry and a 1st so I was off by one. Need to own that as well.

You and I have warred over Simmons and McCollum for a year. Very nice to see this thread starting as it should with us admitting we were both wrong.

Here’s to a year of warring over Tobias Harris!

I can't believe I've never seen this thread on an annual basis. Can someone please sticky this for a bit? It's too good not to be.

Thanks for these threads, always good fun if people take them to heart!

I distinctly remember saying last summer that I thought Atlanta had one of the best offseasons and Memphis had one of the worst. In a vacuum that may have been somewhat true but that certainly isn't how their seasons have turned out!

Memphis in general has shocked me; I knew they were on the rise after a feisty first round against my Jazz last year but I would never have predicted this.

I was probably even further off on Cleveland; I liked the Mobley pick but I had no idea they'd move so far so fast. Good on them for proving me utterly, completely, 100% wrong.

I thought the Carlisle hire would take Indiana to the next level but it seems even he couldn't make that roster special.

If you'd told me that Presti's transaction list at the deadline was going to be "(1) trading a 2nd for KZ Okpala and (2) nothing" I would not have believed you.

..man, I'm wrong a lot, lol. Will add more if I think of them.

In a seller's market, Powell and Porzingis returned far less than I would've thought.

It was my hope/prayer that Fedor wouldn't be correct about a Cavs trade target for the first time in his career, and yet...

No black bird pie for me! I predicted that Myles Turner would not get traded and more likely would be Sabonis even though I didn't want to move him, and that if he was moved a pretty damn good haul would come back. I even said that the Kings were likely the team, I never thought we'd get Haliburton! I also called LeVert to Cleveland in a Pacers game thread about 2 days before it happened, but you didn't have to be Nostradamus to see that one coming.

Oh wow, I forgot, I'll take some Cavaliers Crow on the side.

I definitely have a healthy helping for what CJ was able to return. I was pitching a similar package without the pick and without NAW. I also thought OKC would do something, so meh. I’m sure there are others.

Pretty much everyone was wrong about the Cavaliers. Their official team-sponsored podcast had the Cavs winning 36 games on the year.

I though KP would return expiring and a pick, in reality, it took a pick to take broken up larger money...

I'm not even gonna touch the issue of you thinking you haven't gotten anything wrong (I have decidedly different recollection) but even you must understand that the purpose of this thread is to own up to our mistakes and not pat ourselves on the back while ignoring the 80% of stuff we got wrong. Fittingly enough, you've got this thread literally backwards.

I thought LeVert was negative value and people would take gordon before him. Wrong on both counts

Nope, I'm even past that one. Unless the end result of the Blazers opening up all this space was to trade for Tobias! In which case, one of my fellow mods should just go ahead and pre-emptively ban me.

Oh I did think of another one. I liked Scottie Barnes plenty pre-draft, but I definitely said "Toronto did WHAT" when the choice was announced.

I still believe in Jalen Suggs' talent and there is a lot of career left ahead of both guys, but there's no question Barnes has been the one who's been lights out this year.

I thought Minnesota and Los Angeles Lakers would be more active at the deadline.

I didn't think Porzingis would be moved at all, but Dallas took what was offered.

San Antonio finally made moves around the dead line and are clear sellers. I thought they would rise out Pops last year.

CJ and Bertans having more value than expected.
Wasn't expecting so much action.
Thought Lakers trade somebody.

Before the season, I definitely expected Warriors to make a trade at some point

Even with all the smoke, I thought Brooklyn would roll the dice on another playoff run with Harden
