IF KD asks out

Post#1 » by miamiballer » Mon Jun 27, 2022 7:27 pm

Miami trades: bam, herro, Duncan Robinson, 2023 and 2025 1st

Bkn trades: kd, curry

Miami gets kd to pair with butler and max his window

Bkn rebuilds around bam/herro core

Bam is definitely the best player the Nets could get I think, question is whether Miami makes him available. I don't love the fit with Simmons, but so what.

My only possible amendment here would be to involve OKC somehow with the Miami 2024/25 1st, so that can get adjusted and BKN can get MIA's 24 and 26 1sts, replacing the ones they gave Houston. Maybe not necessary, but might be good for the Nets.

I don’t think KD would sign off on this though.. not a lot left on that heat team, this team wouldn’t contend for a title.

Nets aren't doing this deal without first checking in on numerous higher potential young players first.

slow down, Phoenix has easily a better package to offer if they're willing to part with Ayton+Bridges+___

Really? That's a pretty great haul for a guy that would likely be limiting where he'd agree to go. I don't love Herro, but Bam is such an impactful star. If the Nets could get any competent wing for Kyrie, they'd be pretty damn interesting.

Ayton/Bridges vs. Herro/Bam?

I lean towards Herro/BAM personally.

Not sure Miami would offer Bam...they need a big to compete. Also Bridges is under a very good contract while Herro might want a max deal so it's very close between the two of them.

I lean towards Herro/BAM personally.

i have the delta between Bridges and Herro being pretty massive, while Ayton vs Bam is small. If Herro is commanding a max next summer he's not even a positive piece.

Not to mention phx has Cam and more available picks…. But I think KD would ask Bkn to go to phx, as phx would have a contender left

I think the idea of Ayton is pretty close to Bam, but I haven't seen the player get all that close.

At the very least they need to sniff out if the extremely high potential players on playoff teams like Zion, Scottie Barnes or Ant Edwards can be had. Never know if those sorts of teams think swapping their young star out for KD makes them immediate championship contenders for several years.

The package probably needs to clearly exceed what Brooklyn gave up for Harden. KD is a better player, on a longer contract with substantially more suitors.

If Miami isn’t offering Bam then there aren’t any trade discussions and this defaults to Phoenix.
