I'm not sure that Hield offers much more than Shamet except costing twice more and playing less defense.
I would decline, if I'm the Suns.

I think Hield is a big upgrade on Shamet and he'd work well in the Suns system especially.

Works for me from PHX’ standpoint. But the Crowder/Turner package looks like less value and a worse fit for the Lakers than Hield/Turner, so I’m not sure why they’d put their unprotected picks on the table for it.

This might even be worse for LA than having Hield come back.

If the hold up for LA is taking on money next year in Hield, this is a decent alternative.
Works for Indy obviously.
The idea that Hield isn't a significant upgrade over Shamet, or not even any sort if an upgrade, is laughable. There's reasons he has his detractors but he's still a starting level player and one of the better shooters in the league. Shamet is a 10th man.

Huh? How is it possibly worse?
- Lakers have too many guards already
- Lakers need a wing like Crowder over Hield
- Lakers save $12m this year with Crowder vs Hield
- Lakers get a decent size TPE to add player(s) later in season
- Lakers have more flexibility next offseason

Lakers don't have any guards like Buddy Hield currently under contract. None of the Lakers' guards outside of maybe Kendrick Nunn and Patrick Beverley are good shooters. Unless the Lakers plan on playing a LOT of LBJ at the 4, he's going to get the majority of minutes at the 3. And Crowder's value is probably a matching expiring and some SRP with limited upside. The Lakers are going under the tax after this season, so ducking the tax really shouldn't be a huge motivation. If it comes organically, they should listen. TPE without any real notable picks really doesn't get anything done. The only part where the TPE is more valuable than Hield is if they don't want long-term money.
