He quite literally has never gotten the most votes for nomination.

I knows hes been nominated more than Bane and Lillard. Are you counting? I think he's received more nominations than Gobert and LeBron as well.

The OP has been tallying the votes at the end of each thread, and they’re all linked at the top. I’m not sure where you’re getting tripped up here, but don’t accuse posters of nefarious intent because things don’t go how you’d like them to. Thanks.

Now it is must be intentional or you have not been paying attention to the process here. Dr Positivity tallies the nominations at the end of each round of voting. Just look at any of the old threads at the end and you will see that Sabonis has never received the most nominee votes.

the process is who recieves the most cumulative nomination votes per all threads or just one thread?

It's most per thread. Here is the nominations last thread

Barnes 5
Gobert 5
Mathurin 2
Sabonis 2
JJJ 2
Holmgren 2
Ayton 1
Simons 1
Allen 1
Butler 1

Sabonis has received a few nominations per thread, players like Lebron and Bane were for a while as well until eventually they got more people behind them which Sabonis never did.

He is a good player but his contract running out in 2024 hurts his value.

my bad. I thought this was cumulative for all threads. I know Sabonis has been nominated more in all threads than some nominees, I should say.

And I don't care if he hasn't been, just seemed odd to me

I'm torn between Wagner and Bam, but gonna go with Edrice due to the longer deal and being more established.

Tough now, as we slide towards the middle of the bell curve, and more choices are available. I like Pascal, but he’s only got two years. All Player Options are automatically bad for teams. And it takes longer for kids to impress me, and they have little media power for offcourt value. I like Ingram, but I’ll go with that fourth year from ..

Bam

Honestly the end of this list is hard. Do you value the best players right now (probably Lillard/George/LeBron/Gobert), guys on rookie contracts (Franz/Bane/Barnes), or young stars who are more developed than the rookie contract guys, but have fewer years of cost-control (Ingram/Bam/Siakam)? I think there is a clear worst answer in each of these - just in terms of how impactful they are on winning THIS SEASON - and that is Gobert, Barnes, and Ingram (largely b/c of missed time). Gobert was much more impactful in Utah, and watching him play I'm not seeing a different player, just a team that lacks connectivity, has some odd fits, and needs to change how they play.

I think I am changing what my vote was going to be, and am going to go with the young small forward b/c that is such a valuable position:

Franz
