Brooklyn | Chicago | Golden State: 11 player trade so probably too be real but let's go

Brooklyn in: Chris Paul, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Terry Taylor
Brooklyn out: Ben Simmons, Spencer Dinwiddie, DFS, and Royce O'Neale
Nets don't have their 2024 1st - might as well try and go for it this year with CP3 and DeRozan who boost thier backcourt without adding long term salary as both are expiring. Ball might be finished, but so might Simmons, at least he's cheaper. Could be a very dangerous team to meet in the first round.
Chicago in: Ben Simmons, DFS, Royce O'Neale, Moses Moody, and Trayce Jackson-Davis
Chicago out: DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, Lonzo Ball, and Terry Taylor
Bulls seriously lack size and shooting - they add some of both here, some size, some shooting, and some size with shooting. It's a big shakeup for a team desperately in need of one that includes some solid vets that better fit, some intruiging young players, and a full on wildcard in Simmons.
Golden State in: Spencer Dinwiddie and Nikola Vucevic
Golden State out: Chris Paul, Moses Moody, and Trayce Jackson-Davis
Warriors replace the injured CP3 with the more durable Dinwiddie who also provides some better size. They also have been rumored to be looking to add an upgrade at center which they do through Vuc. Vucevic is no longer the all-star center he once was - but he would be an upgrade to the center rotiation in Golden State.

Would be hard for the Warriors to turn this down.

with Paul's injury history, you're possibly trading starters and rotations players for just DD, which doesn't make Brooklyn better. Would rather trade DFS and O'Neale for pick value.

Can’t they take by 110% this season?

I actually quite like the reasoning and fits across the board, my only issue is that I think DFS alone returns probably 2 1sts so the value for BKN is probably a little off.

I think value is actually pretty decent.
I don’t really understand the direction for Chicago, but DFS will still be worth a first this offseason while Demar will be a free agent. And TJD/Moody will still be on rookie contracts, so it’s good value. Just a weird line up shift.
Brooklyn seems like a tough pitch. Instead of getting a first for DFS and sitting on Simmons, they go for a play-in to get Tatum and co in the first round? Or Giannis.. One game after Simmons finally played and looked great.
Just a really smaller version would be;
Vuc+Dinwiddie to GS
CP+?? to Brooklyn
Royce+TJD to Chicago
I’d try to get Looney for someone mixed in with that.
Whether that question mark is a stack of seconds from GS or Moody, or if Chicago takes Moody and sends the seconds to Portland..
Take out the Lonzo/DDR for Simmons/DFS which both sides probably hate?

DFS, as in Dorian Finney-Smith? 2 x 1sts? Did I miss a major coming out party for him this season?

Top tier 3&D forward/wing who doesn’t make mistakes, hits a high % of his 3s, has elite switch ability and earns $13m per year? Thats going to cost you a few first rounders (I didn’t say top 10 picks).

I seriously doubt that.

Noted.

In simplest terms, how does BRK think getting 3 former Bulls by giving up 1 is going to help their chances at anything? They go for it this year and see how much of their roster expire so they start restocking but without a pick.
I see there are still seats available on the Ben Simmons relocating to the Rehab Institute of Chicago for his next rounds of maladies. I would be of the opinion that the Bulls would rather have Lonzo Ball with a smaller cap space contract paid by insurance than Ben Simmons who counts more against their cap as they pay full fare.
Happy, not overjoyed with Moody and TJD as potential but DFS and Royce look like Torrey Craig and at worst hold back Patrick Williams from ever getting a full shot. If they move DeRozan the shots will be there for Williams and they can see if he steps up.

Brooklyn would have multiple options this offseason including re-signing CP3 and/or DeRozan, or using one or both in sign and trades. It's not just they play this year then are gone.
And I think there's plenty of opportunity for Patrick Williams after this trade. I'm also sick of people blaming everyone else for Williams' lack of shot volume. It's Zach's fault, it's Demar's fault. How about it's Patrick Williams' fault? I'm also tired of the Patrick Williams entitlement. We all saw Jevonte Green and Derrick Jones Jr outplay Patrick Williams yet who got to start and play minutes? Patrick Williams.
If Williams can't beat out DFS, O'Neale, and Craig for minutes then he doesn't deserve them.
