Below is every theoritical trade Detroit could consider at the deadline.

How off are these values? With recent reports of Monty hanging onto Killian, the Pistons refusal to include BOTH Bogy/Burks in deal..the below seem sensible for the Pistons to save face, add complementary vets, while keeping their core. Cap space has a ton more value now with the looming cap as well for many of the below teams.

Atlanta:

I. Stewart, M. Morris
FOR
B. Bogdanavic, AJ Griffin

For Detroit: Pistons add two spacing wings, but need to take on 4 years of 31 year old other Bogy.
For Atlanta: Beef Stew is a nice backup 4 with Johnson and gives Hawks depth in their front court. Bey can then move to a more natural wing slot in my rotations.

Milwaukee:

M. Morris
FOR
P. Connaughton

For Detroit: Get a spacing 2 on a reasonable deal
For Milwaukee: Upgrade at backup 1

Orlando:

B. Bogdanovic, I. Stewart
FOR
J. Isaac, G. Harris

For Detroit: Take a nice flyer on the best defensive 4 in the NBA. Isaac may not space, but he will immensley improve the team defensively.
For Orlando: Improve spacing and shore up their front court rotation.

Chicago:

J. Harris, J. Wiseman, J. Ivey
FOR
Z. Lavine, A. Caruso

For Detroit: Talked about ad nauseum. Take the talent while you can in Lavine. He could make sense ONLY if Caruso comes back.
For Chicago: Clear cap, see what Ivey and White can do long term.

Brooklyn:

J. Wiseman, I. Stewart, C. Smith
FOR
C. Johnson

For Detroit: Give Monty a familiar face and future 3/4 for their rotation who can space well.
For BK: Clear cap and get a nice replacement 5 if they don't re-sign Claxton

Charlotte:

I. Stewart, M. Morris
FOR
PJ Washington

For Detroit: Get better long term spacing at the 4. Wash fits next to Duren
For Charlotte: Clear cap and get better big depth with Beef Stew

LA Clippers:

I. Stewart, A. Burks
FOR
N. Powell, A. Coffey

For Detroit: Get a solid vet spacing 2 in Powell and depth at the 3/4 in Coffey
For LAC: Beef Stew can fill in now as a backup 4/5, depth is needed here. Burks can be a nice backup combo guard for their playoff rotation.

Sacramento:

I. Stewart, B. Bogdanaovic
FOR
K. Huerter, H, Barnes

For Detroit: Long term spacing in Huerter, Barnes can be there 2-way vet forward in the short term.
For Sacramento: Bonafide depth at backup 4/5 and nice spacing in their starting unit, pathing way for more usage for Keegan.

San Antonio:

J. Ivey, J. Harris
FOR
T. Jones, K. Johnson

For Detroit: Solve for long term clear cut 1 and 3/4 in one trade. Even out rotation.
For Spurs: Go for ceiling and pair Wemby with Ivey.

Thoughts?

All trades are very off.

The Brooklyn one is very off in Detroit's favor, the rest off in the other direction most of them not even fixable.

Kyle Anderson for Monte Morris is very possible. You could reroute Anderson and his 9 million expiring for picks or players as you see fit.

Yes, or Troy Brown Jr, Shake Milton and a 2nd.

I could definitely see Tim Connelly reuniting with Morris to get the Wolves some PG depth for the playoffs, and Bird rights for the future. Mike Conley has been fantastic, but he’s 36 and finally missing his first few games since arriving in Minnesota.

I’d take him because it’s hard for the Pistons to find FAs to take their money but I wouldn’t give up value for him.

Once Brooklyn adds talent, they’ll realize that it’s hard to pay their 4th or 5th best player on a winning team $24M per.

Monte Morris is a local guy who appears to be extremely happy playing for us, and he completely transformed our 2nd unit. We had the worst 2nd unit in the league by far while he was injured.

We got Monte Morris back from his injury and traded Bagley for Gallo and Muscala and our 2nd unit have been better than our starters.

So why exactly would we trade Morris for Anderson? Anderson does not have more value than Monte, so it would not be because of value. We would be a worst team for no reason at all.

Does it make any sense for you? To get worse and more umballanced just to do another team's wish?

He is a well above average defender and an all around great offensive player. He is good at everything offensivelly. He is not elite but he is great. And he is a winger with decent size and he have constantly shot north of 40% from 3 during his career.

Those kind of players are premium in the league nowadays. It would cost us at least Ivey to get him and we should trade Ivey for Cam Johnson without thinking twice, because he would make our team a lot more ballanced. Cade and Duren would look a lot better with Cam Johnson next to them.

Brooklyn is not giving away Cam Johnson for nothing lmao.

An initial offer was the value of Anderson (perhaps a late first or at least a couple of seconds,) for Morris. You clearly don’t like the offer but didn’t counter. This tells me you want to keep Morris. That is fine. I can tell you from local reporting the two teams are engaged in talks around Morris. Maybe it happens, maybe it doesn’t, but this is not too far off from being viable.

The Celtics are paying their 4th best player $50 mil. a year. The bucks 4th best player makes $25 mil. per. Nuggets 4th best player makes $22 mil. per annum.

i wouldn't make that PJ for Stewart swap for Charlotte. I'm sure the Pistons would love it though. Open to working out a smaller deal for Morris even though he's a pending FA

yeah this is not good for the Magic. Stewart is overpaid IMO, he should be a bench big making like 10 mill/yr max. Bojan isnt the right fit with Paolo/Franz/Ingles and will eat into our capspace next season too. Would easily prefer to keep Isaac and let Harris expire. There's more upside in Isaac+ cap space.
