So I like godaddy's version. It's clean and logical for both sides. But Mavs fans who aren't me or jayjaysee seem all-in on Lively as some untouchable piece. And while most Nets fans are reasonable, if on the expected high side of Claxton's value they've got a fan who thinks he's Rudy Gobert.
So okay let's take those guys out. But then we still have Nets fans clinging to this two first round picks narrative even after the latest reporter had to admit he tried to mislead by neglecting to mention that was a year ago. But can we satisfy that somehow?
THJ
Holmes
Prosper/25 TOR 2nd (I believe this combo is close enough to a late 1st)
27 1st(top 4* protected, becomes 28 MIA 2nd)
*maybe this has to be top 1 or 2? Top 4 feels right, but since it might not convey, might have to lessen that, but definitely think it has to have top 1.
for
DFS
Dinwiddie
Nets get a first, a recent 1st round pick, and a 2nd in a year from a current non-playoff team. Seems more than fair for DFS and a guy they are super over. THJ is a useful body, Holmes is dead weight but both expire before 25 free agency dreams
Dallas gets their target, plus Dinwiddie would have a role with THJ out and Exum never healthy and Curry seemingly washed. They still have room to fill the roster spot and duck tax, but it would need to be a developmental guy as they have less than $2M.
Could also make this different with THJ/Dinwiddie out and Curry/Powell/O'Neale/Giles in.
Could also make this 25 free agency super friendly by including Cam Johnson, but while I think he's neutral value at best on that contract I'll assume our Nets fans still believe they can get Detroit to pay value for him so didn't go that route.
But just laying out all the options.

I'm on board with this, but would think the Nets want to drop Dinwiddie & one of THJ/Holmes. They're not going to want to have both of them on next year's books, and if they are serious about dealing for Murray, Dinwiddie's inclusion for non-expiring deals would kill that.

I think if youre giving Prosper and the 1st, you should keep THJ out of it. He provides too much value with Kyrie and, to a lesser extent, Luka not being exactly iron men. And i think this is more than DFS is worth, but i can understand it from the Mavs POV

i would leave out the dinwiddie/THJ swap as well.both teams probably prefer their own guy/contract so not sure why they are included

I love Doedoe almost as much as Chuck, but more than anyone else here… But i really like the 3 first offseason and don’t think I’d give up on it for the reunion.
Dallas isn’t good enough for that unfortunately.

Echo what Jay said. Not opposed to trying to figure out a deal for Cam John's though

What about Green, Holmes, protected #1 for Dinwiddie & Finney Smith ? Kyrie is becoming unreliabLe...where could we send him for any value ? Or do we just hope for 50 games & that he doesn't flake out in the playoffs.....

Green is PPP which makes it tough, but he has no trade value, but he absolutely has value to Dallas on the court. Can't see Dallas seeing him as a throw-in. I know some Mavs fans have given up on him, but he's been playing well since he came back from injury. He's now a reliable corner shooter (40% 3 years running), their best transition player, and while he's not great at anything he's okay defensively, he's okay at getting to the rim, he's okay at finding open guys once he does.
I think they'd move THJ before him for sure.
