If this is way off on value, my fault as CamJo is a player who's value I've seen all over the place. Some have him a as highly positive, some say given his contract, not so much.
Mavs get: Cam Johnson, Dennis Smith Jr
Nets get: PJ Washington, Rishaun Holmes
Hornets get: Josh Green, Seth Curry
Dallas fills 2 needs, a starting caliber 4 who can spread the floor and defend, and a backup PG since the Aussie ones (Kyrie & Exum) are always hurt. Plus DSJ and Luka are friends. BKN cuts Cam's salary significantly by swapping him with PJ who is also good in his own right. They take on one year of Holmes, but this puts them in even better position to target Spida or others in FA 25. Charlotte gets Green, who should fit well with Melo and a hometown Curry

This is a non-starter for Brooklyn.
They’re not trading Bridges’ “twin” in what’s a lateral move at best.

Hornets have no real reason to do this

Is he strictly a SF? I was under the impression he played the 4 quite often

He may well do but he gets abused by guys with size
It’s one of his weaknesses and Marks has stated that it’s a Nets priority to get a stretch 4

I get why nobody wants Josh Green, but Cam Johnson is no answer for Dallas. He's effectively just a taller THJ.

I guess Im not in the know. My understanding was he was a capable defender, decent rebounder, and good shooter.

Interesting, I was not aware of that. Well at least that means my proposal wasnt a homer one

One of the reasons why the Nets fall off a cliff when Simmons (and DFS to a degree) doesn’t play
They’re simply too small

It seems good value for Dallas even if it’s not a great target IMO. Would be nice to have him, but that’s not what the team needs.
But don’t think CamJohnson is who you start paying the tax for. So would need to be bigger on Dallas’ side..
