Brooklyn: DeAngelo Russell
LAL: Dejounte Murray, Larry Nance Jr
ATL: Dyson Daniels, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Max Christie, Spencer Dinwiddie, 2024 LAL 1st Rd Pick (unprotected), 2025 1st rd pick via Brooklyn (lessor of PHX/BK/HOU - then swapped to the middle of LAL/NO), 2026 1st rd pick swap via LAL (top-2 protected)
New Orleans: Clint Capela, 2025 unprotected LAL pick swap
NOTE: NEW ORLEANS RETURNS THE LAKERS 2024/2025 1st Rd pick in exchange for a 2025 unprotected pick swap
Why for Brooklyn - Brooklyn uses their lesser value assets to land a point guard upgrade.
Why for LAL: Murray represents an upgrade from Russell, but not significant enough IMO to throw in the 2029 1st. So LA basically gives up all their draft equity/young talent prior to 2027.
Why for ATL: Move off Murray/Capela for 3 rookie scale players, 2 1st rd picks and a swap
Why for New Orleans - use lesser value assets to upgrade the C position (Daniels plus mid level 1st for Capela).
