Prior to the trades, Detroit had enough guys at Monte's position/role, not as many at Fontecchio's.

2023-24: the year a bunch of teams traded for point guards past their expiration date
Monte Morris uh doesn't play anymore, and when he has he's been bad. Would be a big moment for believer in "change of scenery" but based on production this year so far, Minnesota is still in need of a backup point guard. Not that it cost them much to kick the tires on Morris.
