Wow, I figured a contender would make sense for Olynyk, not Toronto. What are the protections on that pick?

I get the Agbaji for a late 1st trade - higher upside for Toronto and more cost control for Utah.

Not sure I understand the Olynyk part

I have no idea what Toronto is doing. But also ends the whole Kelly is worth a first on his own silliness we were hearing.

This is the strangest trade. The Raptors are 18-33 and finally started their rebuild. Olynyk is expiring. Super odd.

Congrats if there's someone that guessed Olynyk to Toronto...I would have named 20+ teams before them.

I don't think this trade is about Olynyk at all. To me, it's Utah moving off of a prospect and Toronto gambling that the prospect they acquired has a higher ceiling than the late 24 1st they are trading. That part of the deal makes a lot of sense.

I guess re: Olynyk having a stretch big when your running out Barrett/Barnes isn't the worst thing.

28th or 29th pick for Olynyk and Agbaji is good value. Just dont understand the direction at all

I wonder if the Raptors aren't placing more value on Ochai than Olynyk. It makes no sense at all to trade any 1st rounder for Olynyk in their situation

There should be another deal here for both sides? Toronto is only 4 games out of the play-in.. But there’s no way they are chasing it. And Utah doesn’t need another late first..

The value is good for Toronto though IMO. Just not a good trade.

Ainge getting another pick is unnecessary and I think they gave up on Ochai a bit too early. they’d know better than me though.

Don’t love it for Utah.

(Utah is further under the cap now though.. and all of these guys can be aggregated with THT.. and Atlanta wanted multiple picks for Murray…)

Still don't get it for Toronto but I guess they like Agbaji.
