Think it will save like 10 mils+ for Warriors.

We'll have to replace him at some point because this leaves us with only 13 players, but assuming it's Lester the second year min is a couple hundred thousand less than the vet min.
Every dollar counts when it's getting 7-8x'ed lol.

Yeah, I think Warriors would drag Lester's two-way status as long as possible, then sign him a deal like how they did with Lamb. Even if they save half a mil, it would be like 4 mils saving lol.

IIRC they can only carry 13 players for 2 weeks before they have to sign a 14th, so I’m guessing that’s when Les gets patched over to the main squad

2 weeks at a time and 4 weeks total. Could do 2 weeks at 13, sign a ten day, another 2 weeks at 13, and then convert Les for the rest of season and maximize the tax savings?

We did two weeks at the start of the season before we signed Gui so I think we only have 2 weeks left

This was a pretty brilliant trade by the Warriors to basically get the 53rd pick for free.
Instead of giving more tax money to the League, they basically just sent that money to Indy.

They paid $6 million for that pick. Yeah they saved whatever off the tax, but I don’t see how this was brilliant
