Hartenstein probably gets 4/72. Something like that.

Philadelphia uses their cap space + picks to trade for a third star. If not they make a run at Jrue and probably land DeRozan while keeping Harris.

Boston trades Brown.

Toronto probably uses their space on bench vets. Maybe they make an offer to a RFA like Patrick Williams.

Quickly re-signs for 4/110.

Have no idea what the Nets will do.

Why doesn't OKC take Markkanen instead? Because Jaylen is a better fit for them (Chet and lauri too similar in body-type).

Celtics lock up Jrue Holiday for a slight discount next year at 3/$115 and move Horford & Pritchard to try to get under the 2nd apron.

The Nets re-sign Claxton for 4/$100. They finally choose a direction and either trade Bridges to Houston or acquire a star, which may or may not involve trading Bridges.

Knicks re-sign OG for 4/$150 after the Pistons drive up his price. Hartenstein signs for 4/$72. Burks signs for 2/$25. The Knicks think long and hard about Randle’s future with a max contract looming in summer 2025.

The 76ers sign Demar DeRozan for 3/$110 after a failed effort at signing Paul George. Tobias Harris re-signs for 4/$110. Maxey signs an extension that lives up to his name.

There's going to be lot of tax dancing in the Atlantic.

The Nets will probably tread water again to reset the repeater tax unless a truly elite, youngish star becomes available. I've thought for a long time that Claxton is looking at about 4/$90mil, but there are a couple of teams now projected to have cap space that could try to overpay him on a front loaded deal. Ultimately, I expect him to be retained. Their biggest move of the offseason will be firing Vaughn and hopefully replacing him with a competent coach.

I don't know what Boston's appetite is for the tax. They'll pay it, but how much? You have to figure Jrue is looking at at least $30mil per on a multi-year deal else he opts in, and they risk losing him to Philly if they don't pay. They could proactively sell sky high on White a year before his big pay day is due.

After paying OG $30ish mil per, the Knicks likely find the tax hit on Hartenstein prohibitive & see him walk.

The 76ers would have been better off trading for a star at the deadline with their picks+expirings & then use Bird rights to retain Harris. Outside of Jrue, I don't think there's a better FA for them than Harris.

Toronto will try to poach RFAs or young FAs. If they fail in that endeavor, than they could be a deal facilitator & collect picks.

For Toronto, they have a decision on Bruce Brown and whether or not to exercise the Early Termination option on his contract before 6/29/24

If they keep Brown, they will have $103M before cap holds, and likely will just add one player using the space before doing IQ's rookie extension

If they terminate Brown, they'll be at $80M before cap holds, and then they could have a close-to-max slot available (especially if their pick ends up outside top 6 and is conveyed to SAS)

I think OG gets closer to $40 mill than $30.

Yeah this is all good from Brack as always.

Would expect very little movement, odd chance they make a huge move with Brown or revisit Pritchard+picks for Caruso. But they probably have all their guys in house and draft a second round guy who will get a two-way and pick up more future seconds.

Deeper bench big is a little thing to watch as that’s their three FAs outside Holiday who’s re-signing.

They can't really punt another year of Embiid's limited prime, though.

They won’t waive Walsh…I’d be shocked if they did. Huge upside and he is on a league minimum contract. I’m not sure on Tillman. Maybe he signs for a 4/30 or something like that? Similar to Payton Pritchard money?

Right Walsh was a 37th pick whose big knock was his shooting. He’s looking like a chance to not be a non-shooter so if anything he’s upped his value. Pritchard money seems right on imo for Tillman.

Signing DeRozan and Harris to 3 and 4 year deals is punting the rest of Embiid's prime. It's a waste of time.

The Sixers will hold out for the big deal. I think it will be a trade, but no idea who. Morey has gambled twice, and he will do it again.

After the Nets resign Claxton in the $20-25 mil per year range it wouldn't surprise me if they move Sharpe or Clowney.

Why? Sharpe is cheap depth while on his rookie deal, and Clowney is more of a PF who can play next to either.
