In a thread about Ball for Ingram, it was mentioned instead of Ingram to go for Murphy3. So that sparks this question: who are the best realistic rookie contracts your team could trade for, and what would it take to get the player?
For Charlotte to get Murphy3 Charlotte woukd have to move ? Richards, Mann and a pick?

I think Murphy III is a model bargain, albeit a value where some premium is still considered solid value/"bargain".

The play-in has created the premiums due to supply and demand where there are 5 sellers and 25 buyers, with more than half of them motivated.

There are no discounts in a market where a non-All-Star like PJ Washington goes for a top-2 protected 1st round pick.

I hope my team enters the bidding now because the play-in is here to stay. Buying pressure will only increase from here and small premiums paid today will become large premiums down the road.

I think with the Nets firing their HC, the market for Mikal will pick up. We will see how negotiations for him influence the other players GM's might be listening on.

I'd give up more for Murphy than I would for Ingram.

If the pick is their 2024 sure maybe but also is the 4th pick, even in a weak draft, really a bargain?

Expansion will help to add liquidity to the deadline transaction market.

Eventually more teams will have the realization that Dallas did at the very end of last year-- that the play-in spots, particularly the 9th and 10th seeds, are barely worth it and if you're on the outside looking in with an aging team, you should absolutely build for the future.

If Jalen Smith resigns with Indy then Isiah Jackson could be a bargain buy for someone. I don't think he's ever a starter but he's trending in the direction of high end backup and we probably sell him cheap so he gets an opportunity.

Pretty much the whole Wizards squad except for Avdija and Coulibaly who are probably both a bit overpriced right now after Avdija's recent strong stretch. But Landry Shamet, Johnny Davis, Corey Kispert, Marvin Bagley (who has been a good pickup for us), even probably Kyle Kuzma are all still clearly available as the team is (or should be) in asset collection mode rather than win now, even Jordan Poole if anyone wants him.

Jerami Grant and I suppose maybe Chris Boucher if a team has some money to spend.

Been a fan of Marcus Sasser, not sure what Detroit's thoughts are on the guards moving forward.
