Tyler Herro and 16th Overall for Collin Sexton and 28th Overall

Heat find a way to get a slight upgrade and saves money

Jazz take on more money to add an upgraded pick to package with their own to move up

I’d take Tyler over Sexton straight up…I know he’s been hurt, but I wouldn’t have guessed this was close.

I like Collin Sexton but not this much and not with Terry Rozier.

Who do you have as an upgrade over Herro that makes less and fits in Miami?

I can’t see the Jazz paying $21MM more over the next two seasons AND being on the hook for $33MM more for a third season for a downgrade in talent only to move up 12 spots for a non-lottery pick in a weak draft.

Sexton is going to be a 6th man long term so his poor defensive fit with Keyonte is less of an issue. Herro I don't see as a good fit for us now that we have one piece of our future backcourt. I'd also rather be paying Sexton way less money.

Sexton has been the better player this season. I don't blame you for this opinion, Sexton has improved a ton this year. You may have missed it.

I don't know who is the better player long term but Sexton has been way better this season (although nobody pays attention to Utah). He's back to Cleveland Sexton with much improved court vision/passing. If Miami was going to make this type of deal they should've traded for him instead of Rozier.

Paying Sexton $17 mil is a much better deal than paying Herro $27 mil.

Regardless don't see either team doing this.

I don't think you want "an upgrade over Herro", that's Rozier, you want a player with a completely different skillset, and that is not Sexton. I'd look for a stretch PF that fits with Bam/Butler.

Herro for Kuzma?

Dear lord, no. I'd rather keep Herro...

No reason for Washington to want Herro either. His contract will expire before his type of skillset becomes relevant. Both are overpaid as scorers tend to be but while Herro is the better scorer, Kuzma does more otherwise and his contract is descending and should make him more movable.

Herro 27 million, rising to 31 million
Kuzma 25 million, descending to 19 million

That's a big difference for two players that aren't needle movers.

Kuzma is easily the most overrated player in the NBA and one of the most overrated I've ever seen.

-1.1 OWS over the last five years, he's just straight up bad.

Name 2 or 3 guys you'd want for Herro and '24 1st?

I'm only considering realistic options, not going wild and saying Lauri or anything like that, but this is the type of guy I'd target, and not all of them would get a first from me.

Myles Turner
John Collins (though I would not include anything else and might want seconds coming our way)
Maybe Julius Randle (though he would be way down on my list)
DFS (I wanted he and Dinwiddie for Herro and a first)
Maybe Portis

I'm not shooting for the world here, I just want someone who fits.

A Herro/Poole backcourt? At 54M per? I mean Poole is sort of Herro that has fallen off. Seem like pretty similar players, though Herro is obviously better now.

Given their point guard situations, I'd think Brooklyn would be the team most interested. Herro for DFS and Schroder?

I don't see Portland wanting Herro and I kinda don't think they'd deal with each other. Maybe though.

Yeah, that would definitely interest me
