Everybody gets a bit of what they are missing.
Cleveland trades Allen
Cleveland receives Jones, Murphy 3
Cleveland has a problem with Allen/Mobley both being interior offensive players. They lack the ability to spread the floor which reduces the effectiveness of Mitchell/Garland. By getting Murphy 3 and Jones, they will have the spread capability and still maintain a good defensive presence.
New Orleans trades Murphy 3, Jones, Valanciunas (S&T)
New Orleans receives Allen, Giddey, K. Williams, Jy. Williams (or pick or Wallace - options open to add the necessary value)
Pels get a better defensive presence in Allen, they get a back up that is cost controlled for another 3 years in K. Williams, a back up at either the center or PF in Jy. Williams (removed if NOP willing to take a pick instead).
Thunder trade Giddey, Jy Williams, K. Williams
Thunder receive Valanciunas
Thunder get a big sturdy center to either support Holmgren and take some of the pounding or to move Holmgren over to the PF spot. The cost is minimal in players that will be moved/replaced when the 35 Thunder picks come available.
Helps control Thunder costs as well.

Terrible for OKC. JV does not have this much value

Agree with daoneandonly. Giddey is not worth JV - and any suggestion for OKC to add picks to send NOLA or Wallace is a hard no.
Now, i'm not opposed to JV on the Thunder, but it would have to be NOLa sending value for Giddey to OKC. [younger player, primary PG for NOLA??]
NOLA, is also trading Herb and TM3 who are really good younger players imo, so I don't think they do this at all. Kenrich is not the wing defender of Herb's caliber, and he's not the shooter of Murphy3's caliber.

This is not valid as a three-team trade. CLE and OKC have no interaction.
In terms of being two separate trades, I don't think NOP does the CLE portion and I don't think OKC does the Thunder portion.
Which makes it easier to say that Cleveland should be getting less or giving more. I don't see the resource on CLE to add to OKC, although Jones to OKC and Jaylin Williams to CLE probably gets the sides closer. (NOP probably values Murphy > Allen, though, so no chance.)

Isn’t JV a free agent? Presti has set the team up to have 30~ million in cap space.. If Presti feels nothing else is needed for the core, they could give Jonas 20-25 mil in hopes/plans that he sticks around on a reasonable number after that one year balloon..
Allen isn’t worth Herb and Murphy IMO. Maybe worth either? Maybe a bit more than either, but definitely not both..

I wouldnt do Jones for Allen straight up, nor Murphy straight up, let alone both of them.
Herb has one of the best contracts in the NBA right now.
Giddey has no value for Pelicans since he is non shoter and bad defender. Him next to Ingram and Zion makes no sense.
Pels trade for Allen to improve their defense but after the trade their defense is worse, and offense also. Hard pass.

I don’t see the giddey fit on New Orleans . They are better off targeting someone like Portland’s Simon.
Of all the free agent center I don’t think JV would be my first choice and definitely not at this price even if the trio aren’t really that important to our future .

If OKC wants JV they just sign him outright and trade Giddey to a team for a draft pick if they are ready to give up on him. This makes no sense as a S&T for OKC, which is what it would be, given the amount of cap space they have this off-season.

Yeah not a fan from the Pels side. Giddey is a bad fit even if he still has some value.
Also Herb and Trey are crucial to the structure of the Pels squad. Trey’s shooting and herb’s defense and greatly improved shooting are really important to what has worked for the team.
We take what has worked on a potential 4 seed and we trade 3 of the best players on it? I don’t think that makes sense.
