Nance + Daniels + pick(s) for ______

Let's say the Pels/ David Griffin is set on keeping the core roster together this offseason, letting Jonas's contract expire. But they still want to make a key upgrade, especially at Center.
Which player(s) could be available for Nance ($10mil. exp.) and pick(s) and maybe Daniels and/or Hawkins?
Daniels has shown elite perimeter defense and high-IQ passing, just turned 21 y/o, but his offense has a ways to develop.
The picks can be added and protected as needed.
Some ideas:
Okongwu. Hawks get an elite perimeter defender to help Trae or Murray, going more small ball lineups with Johnson at the 5 in spurts.
Kessler + Clarkson. Jazz could look to buy low on a recent lotto pick who would fit nicely with George and co.
Your ideas?

Bridges could be an option if Mitchell signs an extension with Cleveland.
If not, maybe a Claxton S&T?

Daniels/Nance for Reid would be interesting

I do wonder if Daniels is on Marks' radar with the Australia/New Zealand connection.
If Nets and Marks break their stance of not trading Mikal, then yea I think Pels would def be interested. He has the connection with Willie Green from the Suns days and with Ingram who seemed to enjoy being teammates on team USA this past summer. Herb/Bridges/Murphy/Ingram/Zion closing lineups would be mega fun.
Claxton makes sense for sure. Still wonder if Dyson’s potential would be too much for Griffin to give up on for a risky overpay situation with Claxton. Claxton in that switch system with a good supporting cast could make them firmly a top defense. But yea, I'd probably do it, then sign some big bodied backup C option or luck into Edey in the draft. Re-sign Naji affordably, sign Muscala or Kornet.
Claxton/ Edey
Zion / Naji
Ingram/ Murphy
Herb/ Hawkins
CJ / Jose

Hmm that is intriguing. Definitely fits from a need perspective for both teams. But Naz may be needed if/when they trade Towns, right? And I think Griffin would be scared to give Dyson to a division rival, then he breaks out and makes them even more of a powerhouse.

Reid is awfull defender, that would not work for the Pels. Yes 3pt shooting is nice, but that is not only part of the game.
Also having a frontcour with 6-6(at best) and 6-9(at best) dudes is not a great situation to be in, especially considering that they are both not great rebounders.

*awful is the correct spelling. You do realize the Pelicans' coach chooses to play Nance who is 6'8" over their 7 foot Center, right? And Nance is cooked. Also, Reid could be off the bench, with some big 7 foot Center as the low minute starter matching up with other large C's. But like I said, this move isn't likely in my opinion.
Sad that out of this whole topic and responses, you chose to negatively critique one of the few original ideas, while offering no original idea or alternative of your own. Do better.

Lol so if i don't have idea i shouldnt respond? If there was such a simple idea i think Griffin or one of his 20 assistants would already thought of that.

Maybe Poeltl. A mobile 7 foot C who can finish at the rim at a high % without needing the ball.
It depends on where the Raptors luck falls in the lottery.
Maybe Timelord as well, but I would not trade for such an injury risk.

I think if they choose to move Bridges he’ll be Houston’s to lose.
All Houston has to do is change the language of the 2025 swap from Best of BKN/HOU to 2nd best of BKN/PHX/HOU and they have a deal.
I could see Brooklyn moving both Bridges and Claxton in that scenario and he’d be great fit in NO like you said.
I’m very intrigued by the idea of Daniels at the point next to Cam Thomas. Seems like a perfect fit.

Memphis would compete hard for that opportunity.

Claxton or Bridges?
I don’t think Memphis will have the best Bridges package.

Claxton. We have our home-developed version of Bridges, so no interest there.

Claxton S&Ts scenarios are always interesting. What would you offer?

Somewhere loserX (I think?) is screaming about draft picks and free agents. But I don’t think it costs a lottery pick to get a sign and trade done.

Fair enough.
Correction:
Clarke or Kennard
+ Zaire Williams
+ one of
future 1st
Konchar
LaRavia
If Memphis FO feels really crazy about Claxton, then they might put Aldama or even GG on the table.

I think Luke+protected first is plenty of value for a sign and trade of an UFA, despite what may be countered here on Realgm.
But for Memphis specifically, they’d likely be better off letting Luke go and then offer Clarke+4-6ish million salary+first. And probably need to find a third team that wants a useful bench big in Clarke, as Brooklyn will be valuing 2025 cap space even more so if they lose Claxton.
Memphis should be willing to pay the tax for their group next year, but bringing in Claxton would hard cap them so they’d need to lose both Luke and Clarke, I think? Claxton should call for 20ish mil at least the first year..

For NOP - I think OO is my favorite, but you need to find a third team there I would think.
Utah trading Kessler for a young player at a different position feels strange. If they double down on Collins at center, they better be trading Lauri..
I think Poeltl is a decent option that doesn’t cost much but isn’t a perfect fit.. That can be done for a protected first, no need in Daniels or Hawkins inclusion IMO.
WCJ is always there. Probably Hawkins or just a first round pick..
I would check in on Zach Collins still..
I’m aiming low because I don’t think the team can afford a great option if they’re keeping the top 5 guys.. just a lot of money there.
