---------------------------------------

MEM Gets: Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Davion Mitchell, 2025 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2026 SAC Pick Swap, 2027 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2028 SAC Pick Swap, 2029 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2030 SAC Pick Swap, & 2031 SAC 1st (Unprotected)
MEM Gives: Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr, & GG Jackson
Why for MEM? The Grizzlies pivot and push their window down the road by adding Murray (2 years left on his rookie deal), 4 unprotected 1sts, and 3 unprotected pick swaps. Huerter, Barnes, and Mitchell are all solid veterans to help bring along the team as they retool.

PG - Morant / Mitchell / Rose
SG - Williams / Smart / Konchar
SF - Murray / Huerter / Williams
PF - Barnes / LaRavia / Watanabe
C - Aldama / Clarke

---------------------------------------

SAC Gets: Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr, & GG Jackson
SAC Gives: Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Davion Mitchell, 2025 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2026 SAC Pick Swap, 2027 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2028 SAC Pick Swap, 2029 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2030 SAC Pick Swap, & 2031 SAC 1st (Unprotected)
Why for Kings? The Kings go all-in in hopes of elevating their team to a championship contender. Bane gives them another great go-to scorer (something Kings fans are hoping Murray would develop into) while also adding a PF that is an excellent fit next to Sabonis with his defense, rim protection, and shooting. Jackson also gives them a big SF who can space the floor for the rest of the stars while providing solid defense.

PG - Fox / Ellis
SG - Bane / Monk / Jones
SF - Jackson / Duarte
PF - Jackson Jr. / Vezenkov
C - Sabonis / Lyles

a) i think kings have enough assets for 1 of grizzlies' stars, not 2.
b) if they were rebuilding then they wouldn't be trading GG Jackson
c) i highly highly doubt the grizzlies plan on rebuilding

Memphis is likely going to start the season with their best roster ever and fully expect to be in contention for the next 3-5 years. Our window is just now cracking open, why in the hell would we do this?

Yeah I was thinking it might have been a bit rich adding GG Jackson to the trade. I was thinking of maybe swapping in Ziaire Williams and Watanabe instead. Then the Kings would let Kessler Edwards, Williams, and Watanabe duke it out for that starting SF spot.

However, I think Murray + 4 unprotected 1sts + 3 pick swaps seems fine value wise for Jackson & Bane. Neither of those guys are super stars.

I do agree that this trade is highly unlikely since Memphis might just be interested in going into next season with a fully healthy core again.

I have Bane worth 3 1sts + swaps and JJJ > murray and a 1st. Murray doesnt look like he have star potential/cant headline a deal for a star by himself imo

I'm not as high on Memphis' prospects for contention, but I agree, and the OP has been told numerously, Memphis has a solid young core that was just injury bugged this year, and they aren't in any way rebuilding, so there is no JJJ trade.

With that being said, I'm a bit uncomfortable giving up this many assets for players with some question marks (injury or game or salary)

As a Grizz fan, I am thinking about a comment that wouldn’t get me banned. It is not easy to find one.

Geez.
Let’s pivot and go
Memphis receives Sabonis, Fox and Heurter
For
B Clarke, GG Jackson, J Laravia, Z Williams, andv4?1sts.
Sacramento can retool and kick the can down the road.

What a preposterous offer in the OP. Memphis core is better than Sacramentos and we will finish higher than them next year, like the last few years

This is really bad for Memphis. Desmond Bane and JJJ are excellent, Top 75 players in the NBA and entering their primes. You don't trade them before they enter their prime for a rebuilding package.

The Kings trade package is worth more than either Bane or JJJ by themselves, but comes well short of getting both.

Bruh I’m trying my best to reframe from getting banned or suspension on this board but dude you crazy as hell to suggest this deal. This trash should be locked and burned.

That´s a very, VERY, V E R Y bad trade for Memphis. One of the worst I have ever seen.

4 1sts and 3 swaps + a decent prospect can net a star fairly easily. Recent comp is donovan Mitchell who went to cavs for less than this

Let´s put it this way: I wouldn´t trade GG Jackson for any of the pieces SAC is sending is this trade, let alone JJJ or Bane.

-Why would the Grizz be looking to rebuild we have been 2 seed two years in a row as one of the youngest teams in the league.
-That trade package is trash in comparison to the talent being traded. The Grizz are trading away the clear two best players Jaren who is 24 and Des who is 25 for a role player in Murray who is 23 as the headliner LMAO.
-Then on top of that you ask for GG who 19 who has a chance to also be better than Murray by the start of next season.
-Lastly, Those unprotected picks would all be in the 20’s why would any team make this type of deal instead of trading the all star level players for actual lottery picks or higher value picks.

Yeah if you trading with Utah or a team rebuilding. True the package could land you a great player but not a superstar. Murray is a role player probably grades out as a Grant level player who is already 23. Those picks could be valuable but likely grade out as teen or twenties as long as Fox and Sabonis are on the roster. Nevertheless my issue is with the OP this the worse trade offer I have seen on this board and that says a lot.

It’s always funny to see how emotional some fans can get over a hypothetical trade proposal from a person who has no sway in what either organization does transactionally. You’d think I just punched their newborn baby.

Some trades are a hit and some trades are a miss. We’ll definitely chalk this one up in the miss column.

The goal of the board is to have mid to high level basketball debates and conversation. Your offer was disrespectful and got treated as such.
