KINGS
In:FVV/Eason/Amen/Nets FRP Out:Fox/Huerter/Duarte

KINGS in the middle of the division and with assets in theory not valuable enough to obtain an improvement that elevates them to the category of true contender, they take a drastic measure (as they did with Hali) with the aim of being better in the long term. .

I would select with the Nets FRP

Sabonis/Lyles /FA MLE(Bitadze?)
Eason/Barnes/Vezenkov
Murray/Amen/Edwards
Amen/Ellis/Duarte/Colby
FVV/Monk

HOUSTON
In:Fox/Huerter/Mitchell
Out:FVV/Amen/Eason/Nets FRP

HOUSTON with a lot of high potential prospects, they would have to consolidate at some point; they get a star level guard in his prime

Sengun/Adams/Landale
Smith/Tate
Brooks/Whitmore
Green/Huerter
Fox/Mitchell/Holiday

FVV Amen and pick 8
For fox and Barnes

Adding Eason is too much.

I like Fox but that is wayyy too much for Fox.

It is nice that all of these teams want the Rockets young players, but they are not likely to trade any of them anytime soon.

I've got zero interest in trading Fox for a bunch of pieces. Not sure how we move Fox and don't get a single one of Houstons top 4 assets. No Thank you

No it isn't. This seems like the value of a Top 15 PG in the NBA.

Can you explain what 4 assets are better than Amen?

Fox is meh, Amen likely will end up being a more impactful player.

Fox for some of the young guys makes sense if you really buy Jalen Green's close, but I'm too skeptical on that to do this right now. Interesting idea though. Don't see the kings doing it

Interesting thought exercise but in reality teams almost never make this sort of magnitude of trades where both teams trades a huge chunk of their core for each other, I think you're also over valuing the King's side a bit here, Fox is very good, but not FVV + the farm good.

Just doesn't make any sense for the Kings.

Fox isn't a perfect player mold, but he's a legitimate 26 year old all-star level player here.

FVV is a really good player, those are some good prospects/assets being attached, but what could possibly be the direction for the Kings here, waiting 20 years to make the playoffs, trading your star at the start of his prime for an older downgrade and handful of assets praying it pans out is crazy.

I don't see either side doing this. It's a good thought though as it's not the same old same old. And I'm of the opinion the clock is ticking on the Fox/Sabonis duo starting at the deadline next season so it's never a bad time to see what's out there.

The Kings would be doing this for the young guys. So if you're moving off Fox, you should move off Sabonis too. If the Kings want a PF to pair next to Sabonis from Houston, the wrong one is in this trade, it would be Jabari Smith Jr who would be perfect.

The question for the Rockets is, do they think they're close? If yes, then wait for the POs to shake out and see if someone becomes disgruntled and add a couple more picks to this package for a superstar. They really shouldn't be looking to dilute the young guys yet though.
The way the Rockets have their cap sheet they're in a perfect position to continue the way they're going and they will have max cap space in 25/26.

Monte isn’t trade Fox for a downgrade and lotto tickets. He would have little chance of keeping his job. He’d have to win the lotto.

Meh, I see this as barely enough, and I think Houston would pull the trigger quick, Kings will have to think about it.
Regardless, I like the idea of Rockets targeting Fox.

Oh I see. Yeah I have Amen comfortably ahead of Whitmore but either way, I don't think you can have Green/Whitmore a tier ahead of Amen as a prospect.

This exactly. I could understand it if we never made the Sabonis trade and we were stuck in the mud with Fox/Hali. Then you could make an argument we would have an exciting young core of Hali - Amen - Keegan - Tari with some nice draft picks.

But as currently constructed I really cannot see the team taking a step back so soon. People forget we sucked for 17 years. Kings fans went crazy over a 1st round series last season. Kings fans feel like we regressed, reality is we are on pace to match last year its just that the west is much stronger and we had a ton more injuries. This is year 2 of a core in its mid 20's. I'd give it at least 2 more years before considering this type of deal.

Not necessarily saying they are head and shoulders above Amen, just my preference. Whitmore is 1.5 years younger, can shoot, and can create his own shot, has legit combo forward size. Green has had ups and downs and battled efficiency issues, but I think his ceiling is the highest among all their players.

Amen worries me offensively. He's a legit basketball player. The problem is that all of his work is done at the rim, not a mid range or 3pt shooter at all.
