Re: Chicago - Utah (2 versions)
I like version 1 a lot (might send some incentive to get off a year of Collins - maybe 32, maybe future 2nds). I wouldn't trade any first for Williams, to be honest. Either we can get him because Chicago doesn't want to match, or they can match and pay over 20 million for a guy who - at this point in his career - is not a starting caliber guy.

Re: Chicago - Utah (2 versions)
version 1; I don't see the Jazz just dumping Collins for a 50/50 shot that Lonzo can show up for the one year he's got left. I remain firmly in the camp that nobody is going to bail out the Bulls to the tune of $20M even thinking he can't play. Even if Ball is healthy to start the season he Bulls would be WAY better off moving Lavine to give max time to White and Dosunmu because they presently still have Caruso.
version 2; Not that Williams is injury prone with a bad, knee, ankle whatever, he just got injured long term twice, I doubt he's attractive enough for the Jazz to give up a 1st to sign him to almost Collins money get him and get rid of Collins. On the Bulls side, they need to decide if they think they made the right #4 pick and not just give Williams the qualifying offer and have him on the bench. If they pay him, they better start him and see what he can do as a #2, 3, option or he'll walk for nothing and they risk him finding playing time and becoming a 2nd Lauri Markkanen that they gave away.
The ideal scenario would be the DeRozan finding a S&T destination, they move on from at least Lavine and start Collins and Williams up front, White and Dosunmu on the back line

Re: Chicago - Utah (2 versions)
Would be difficult for the Bulls to pass on option 1 - Ball's expiring means little to them as their roster in its current state won't have any meaningful cap space in 2025 either way.
I don't care as much for option 2 even with a 2025 1st coming back. Suppose I'm more patient than most when it comes to Williams. I also think Williams could benefit from not having to play as an undersized 4.

Re: Chicago - Utah (2 versions)
V1 : I would want something in return in a Ball for Collins swap, the extra money is just too much.
V2 : Value seems fine, I would rather keep Pat than take on Collins.
