Lakers get:
Anfernee Simons

Trail Blazers get:
Jarred Vanderbilt
Christian Wood
Top 4 Protected 2029 Los Angeles Lakers 1st Round Draft Pick (becomes 2030 and 2031 2nd round picks if not conveyed)
Right to Swap 1sts with Lakers in 2028

San Antonio Spurs get:
Gabe Vincent
Jalen Hood-Schifino
2028 Golden State Warriors 2nd Round Draft Pick (via Trail Blazers)

-Lakers add a nice scoring threat to add some juice to their roster without breaking the bank.
-The Blazers save money to get below the tax, add a future 1st and a swap in a retool around their young core.
-Spurs use their space to add a solid vet PG when healthy, a guard prospect they could develop and a future 2nd.

Pass for POR.

Wood is worthless, Vando is nothing special and late picks or SRP do not entice.

If Portland is giving up Simons for a PRFRP > 2 2nds, think plenty of teams will outbid. At the least, Fino should also be headed to Portland here, which, then has San Ant pulling out.

Blazers probably do this just out of fondness for the Lakers.

I don't think Simons is a fit with the Lakers but a talent upgrade is always good.

Pass

Simons is a bad defender, worse than Dlo it even seems like

Not spending assets on a guy who is a similar calibur player when we can just sign Dlo

This team needs to either go get a guy like Trae Young or Mitchell and give up Reaves, 3 1sts, swaps, JHS, etc or fill around the edges and get a guy (a 1/2 or a 2/3) who is a more physical defender who can close games vs certain teams with 1 of Reaves or Dlo

And also upgrade 1-2 bench spots (for sure a better backup C than Hayes)

So if the stars go elsewhere/stay put, then you would be more interested in a Bruce Brown type of deal versus OP?

If Dlo stays, what would we do with Simons? Another poor defensive guard who isnt a top tier guy?

Meh on Bruce Brown

Some non all stars that make sense:
Dejounte Murray
Lu Dort (if OKC upgrades and gets a guy like Bridges)
Mikal Bridges
Cam Johnson
Caruso
Marcus Smart
