Jerami Grant for Harrison Barnes, Davion Mitchell and 13th Overall

Trail Biazers get relief tax wise and add a lotto pick

Kings add one of the better fitting forwards on the trade market

This works for POR.

Grant doesn't have this value.

I really like Sabonis/Grant/Murray/Ellis/Fox versus what the 2024-25 Kings get out of their outgoing pieces.

I don't think Grant is moving the needle in a measurable way more than Barnes.

I'd rather just pick at #13 or go for a larger fish.

There isn't realistic larger fish at forward... it's guys like Grant, Kuzma, Cam Johnson, Kispert, etc. I have Grant as the best fit of that group. I have this draft as pretty flat by 13th Overall and very point guard heavy in that range anyway.

If there isn't a larger fish then just stick and pick. The difference between Grant and Barnes is like 1-2 RS wins for Sacramento.

This has been beat to death at this point. Not giving #13 for Grant without some real incentive coming back.

Murray + Grant for Huerter + Barnes + 13

That at least makes me think.

This exactly.

We are going to miss the playoffs, which means we keep our 2024. That means 2025-2026 is locked up to ATL.

From my understanding we can still put a package of #13 + 2027 1st (or 2 years after pick is sent to ATL) + 2029 1st

That is a pretty nice package coming from a bad organization. Think we hold tight and hope a Bridges type shakes loose.

That works for this POR fan. Brothers on the same team would be a great story.

Ya I am 100% fine w/ throwing Kris in the mix.

But - I would want to re-route Huerter as he doesnt have much value to a rebuilding team.

My thought was to SAS for Graham and a few SRP. SAS loses only 4M in cap space this offseason while offloading a worthless guy for a shooter that can help spread the floor for Victor.

I wouldn’t want to keep Huerter but he has some value to another team.

I like it for both.

I do not see SAC having enough to get a Bridges level guy - too many teams will outbid them.

Improving on Huerter would be nice also.

I do this pretty easily, though I might see about swapping in Duarte for Mitchell. Wouldn't be a deal breaker though.

I would agree with this.
The Kings aren't going to reach their goals by adding good but not great players. Grant is a good player, but he doesn't move the needle for a team like the Kings.

Everyone keeps parroting that this isn't a strong draft, but realistically this simply isn't a draft where there is a can't miss prospect. There is still plenty of great young talent and with it being so wide open, it just means someone may just drop to the Kings at #13.
Right now the mocks are all over the place. Someone like Cody Williams who IMO should go #1 is as low as #10 on mocks.
Players out of the draft I would rather have than Grant.
Williams obviously, Dalton Knecht, Ron Holland, Kyle Filipowski, Matas Buzelis, Stephon Castle, Tidjane Salaun, Johnny Furphy, Ja'Kobe Walter, Yves Missi.
Not suggesting they're better than Grant, they're not, and not suggesting they're all perfect fits, they're not, but the Kings are asset poor when it comes to young talent and draft picks, they need to knock it out of the park to get better, not spending it on another good player that won't move the needle on court and so won't move the needle in trade.

Agree especially at Grant’s salary. Either just pick #13 or trade for an impact role player with a lower salary like Caruso.
