Bucks/Heat

is anyone confident saying the Lillard trade to Milwaukee was a success?
If not:

Milwaukee trades Lillard/24 SRP
Miami trades Rozier/Robinson/Robinson (both of them)

Milwaukee gets a PG (Rozier) that will defer to Giannis, pick up outside shooting (Robinson), and a back center (other Robinson).

Miami gets the player they targeted Lillard. Ultimately, it cost the Heat a 27 FRP, Lowry, and 2 Robinsons.

It might not sound like a lot for Lillard but he will be 34 this summer with a lot of miles on those legs. Not much is going to be offered for 34, 35, 36 year old Lillard making $50-57M a year.

Age and contract be damned, Lillard could net a better package than this, IMO. If not, there is no way you sell this low on him after one season.

I had thought about this possibility, but what about Lillard going to the Lakers? They can return a better package and they are not sending him to a conference rival. I'm not sure which pieces move..Vincent/Reaves/Hachimura+FRP? Where the Bucks are looking for a 3 team to send Vincent+Patt+(Hachi)+FRP for an upgrade...?

it would be such a trip to watch Rozier get traded for 1 1st, play poorly on the Heat (relative to expectations and how he was playing pre trade), and then get traded for Lillard. The Bucks are obviously not doing this.

I could see it if the Heat were to fork over all their remaining 1sts and Robinson to a third team to send another win-now piece going to MIL (one better than Rozier)

I think the Heat realize they dodge a bullet and don't even consider this.

With this trade, it looks like the Bucks realize they made a bad deal this season by trading for Lillard and hiring Doc. The Lillard trade made Boston a contender by having Jrue.

As per the trade, the contract of Lillard is bad for the Heat. Dame is no longer in his prime and looks over paid

Comically insulting offer that the Bucks don't even pick up the phone on. Maybe there's an actual serious discussion to be had here if Miami includes real assets, because acting like Riley wouldn't still mortgage everything outside of Jimmy/Bam for a 1-2 year window of title contention tells me people clearly haven't paid attention to his M.O. over the years.
