Assume Reddish, Wood, and D'lo opt in.
Lakers get: Wendell Carter Jr, Jerami Grant, Jordan Clarkson, worst Utah 2027 pick
Lakers send: No protection on 2027 pick, Cam Reddish, Christian Wood, D'lo, Gabe Vincent, 2028 unprotected first, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, two second round picks
Jazz get: Gabe Vincent, 2027 Lakers pick turns from top 4 protected pick to an unprotected swap for their worst first, Christian Wood (waived)
Jazz send: Jordan Clarkson
Blazers get: 2028 Lakers first, Jarred Vanderbilt, Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish
Blazers send: Jerami Grant
Magic get: D'lo, two seconds
Magic send: Wendell Carter Jr
Why for Lakers: Get a good wing starter and two good bench players and clear out some roster spots to use on different minimum guys after disappointing years. WCJ can space the floor a little bit to give AD more time away from center which could help his health also.
Why for Jazz: Get a higher upside pick
Why for Blazers: Turn Jerami Grant into a good pick
Why for Magic: Add more scoring and have two OK centers already in Goga and Mo Wagner (though Goga is a FA)

Pass for POR.
Basketball reasons.

No for Lakers. But if Orlando likes D'lo & two 2nds for WCjr, then they'll do that and be quite happy.

On one hand, I would prefer to never deal with the Lakers. On the other hand, this is a good deal for the Blazers.

Dont care about the past - PDX takes this deal IMO.

I dont see the Magic doing this. I dont think the Magic will be looking to move WCJ this offseason, but even if they did i dont see this as enough value.

DLo’s agent will know if ORL wants him and that would lead him to NOT opt into a single year extension when he could easily get a longer term deal, likely for same or more annually. But he folds like origami in big moments every year, so I hope ORL looks elsewhere.

Too good for Lakers.
Not good enough for Magic.
The Portland & Utah portions are fair

What is Utah adding to incentive the Lakers to unprotect their pick? Utah turns Jordan Clarkson into Jordan Vincent, and yet they get the pick they wanted finally unprotected?

It’s a swap so Id pass and rather bet on lakers being top 10 pick versus a swap. Bad for Utah.

Love the idea of WCJ for the Lakers and DLO for the Magic, but they can just sign him outright.
Maybe they can work out a S&T of DLO + a 1st (or two swaps) for WCJ + Cole Anthony

Gives them a late first in 2027 so they can trade their 2028 pick.

So...instead of trading a '29 pick, they're trading a '28 pick instead? How does that justify unprotecting a pick?
