Sending Lauri to ATL and Murray to LAL. Not sure if value is fair for everyone. Edited OP to cut out the Thunder. Originally sent Reaves to the Thunder in exchange for the Jazz 1st (not a good fit based on responses).

ATL In: Lauri, Vincent
ATL Out: Murray, AJ Griffin, 2024 ATL 1st, 2029 1st (top 10 protected; converts to 2 seconds if not conveyed)
Hawks commit to a core of Trae, Lauri, and JJ. It's a bit risky giving up that 2029 1st, but this group seems to fit better on paper.

LAL In: Murray
LAL Out: Reaves, Vincent, JHS, 2029 1st (unprotected); also unprotects 2027 1st which is currently top 4 protected
Lakers get their target in Murray and still have two firsts to work with if they want to upgrade further.

UTA In: Reaves, JHS, Griffin, Dieng, 2024 ATL 1st, 2029 ATL 1st (top 10), 2029 LAL 1st; LAL unprotects 2027 1st
UTA Out: Lauri
Jazz get Reaves, 3 firsts, and some mediocre prospects for Lauri. LAL also unprotects its 2027 1st.

I like Reaves alot as a 6th man but OKC has Cason, Joe and Wiggins all off the bench at the guard spot.

Doesnt seem like a smart use of assets for OKC - unless they are following the move up w/ a trade for a big that involves 1-2 of the 3 guys I mentioned.

Also, if OKC is involved in a trade where Lauri is moved they will be the team receiving him. I can see Presti going all-in on him (IE Cason, Giddey, #12, numerous future FRP).

This doesn't make sense for OKC. They have enough shooting coming off the bench in Wallace, Joe and Wiggins. They need a PF that can rebound and shoot like Lauri, WCJ, Olynyk, etc. not another wing.

If that is all it takes to get Lauri then OKC should easily beat it and get him for themselves with 4-5 FRPs with Giddey and Dieng. OKC could give up Utah's 1st, Philly 2025 FRP, best 2025 FRP (LAC/HOU/OKC/MIA), best 2026 FRP (HOU/LAC/OKC), best 2027 (OKC/DEN/LAC) and OKC would still have a FRP for themselves in every draft unless Maimi is a lottery team next year then that pick becomes unprotected in 2026.

Fair enough, I'll edit the OP to cut out OKC

I feel the the same way. I don't think the after this deal Atlanta team is significantly better and is handicapped in future deals because of the assets tied up in this. I am extremely low on Vincent so taking him on ia a pretty big negative to me.

Don't really see the Lakers moving Reaves and 2 UNP FRPs for Murray.

Maybe we should make edits down the line, so people joining in later don't read a string of OKC comments with no context. Just a thought...nothing wrong with editing based on feedback - that's what makes this stuff interesting.

LAL stealing value (as usual). That offer wasn't good enough for Murray last year and the assumption was that ATL would revisit this summer when LAL has more picks to work with. LAL releasing the protection doesn't mean much to me because LAL, like MIA, doesn't tank or sit at the bottom when things go bad (that's kind of a compliment that an org won't accept bottoming out). Reaves also hasn't done anything to up or even maintain his value this past season. Maybe I'm also higher on Murray than I should be, but he's a pretty complete player, imo.

I don't see the great benefit for UTA either... I think it's underwhelming for them, but mostly bad for ATL, especially considering Lauri's contract situation...imo.
