The interesting question is whether the Nuggets' owner is too cheap to keep KCP if he gets like 2/40 from the Pistons.

Not really any other possible moves to make

I did a quick search of teams who would be potential trade partners and the only team I could come up with is Atlanta. MPJ for Bogdan and Hunter. No idea if picks would be involved but my rationale is they being KCP back as well. Starting 5 is Murray/KCP/Bogdan/Gordon/Jokic.

The other team are the Spurs but no idea if San Antonio are willing to part with Keldon Johnson.

You have to get KCP back. Then its nibble on the margins unless you decide to try and turn Porter JR or Murray into depth. Problem is Porter isn't going to return much and while Murray was wildly inconsistent, its hard to see how they trade him on that contract and get back better. They need his offense.

You will still have the best player on the planet in his prime. Situation is mostly really good still. Just got to find a bit more playable depth and cannot lose KCP.

Pistons also make sense. They went after Lavine so you know they would take MPJ.

I’d dump a youngster or two, and probably Nnaji, and bring everyone except DJ back, and try to get the top of the line with vet mins. Show Lonnie Walker what they did with Bruce Brown and hope it’s enough to get him.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

They should trade Murray for an actual PG. No idea what to do with MPJ and that contract..

Ivey has been a major disappointment but he's not negative value. There's no way the Pistons do that trade, unless you're pulling the "hey, stupid franchise does stupid things card".

In which case touché, but also kind of pointless to discuss on these boards.

I suggested MPJ into cap space few weeks ago and the feedback was it was too good for the Pistons...

I don't think you do much other than run it back. You won a championship a year ago and lost in a 7 game series to a great team. Hope that you can find one guy in free agency to help the depth a bit, e.g., Chris Paul on a minimum could help out.

Can the Suns interest them in a slightly used Bradley Beal? He's a former scoring champ.........

You lost to a top2 team in 7 games. You run it back, bringing back the core, and try to find a bit more punch off the bench.

Trades...

I will insist on a change between MPJ/Nnaji+2 SRP for Lavine.

Why for the Bulls?
I feel like they are tired of Lavine...
Both fans, team and probably Zach...
Also their backcourt has progressed so much to the point of not needing it, with White/Ayo/Caruso the return of Lonzo etc...
He is younger and lastly the need for depth/size/Shooting in the frontcourt..

For Denver it is an improvement in talent, a more dynamic scorer and a better playmaker.

Trade 2
R.Jackson/T.Hunter/Pickett+Future FRP for Tre Jones+SRP..

FA..
They will have to dig deep into their pockets and pay KCP, losing him would be a disaster, pray that he doesn't get many offers and it becomes very expensive..

veteran minimum..
J.Holiday
D.Mcdermott
D.Theiss

Jokic/Theiss
Gordon/Cancar/Mcdermott
KCP/P.Watson/Strawther
Lavine/Brawn
Murray/Tre Jones
Old Mike Lorenzo
