What's Your Valuation/Best Offer for Josh Giddey
Seen a bunch of best offer threads but not one for Josh Giddey. Understandably there's a wide variance of opinion on his worth, but i'm curious what the best offer would be

I wouldn't want him on my team. He has a place in a rotation on a discount contract, but I don't see how you can pay him a sizeable deal right now. He's not even close to a rare archetype nowadays, and most players in his role don't have the same question marks.

He’s completely unplayable in the playoffs. He doesn’t have much value. Maybe a late 1st

I don't think he's a starter for any team outside of a bottom feeder. No reason for the Rockets to entertain a deal for Giddey.

He literally just started 80 games for the best team in his conference.... And then started every game in the first round series they won and played well.
It's fine to question him, but we should at least not just ignore the reality of what we just witnessed, no?

Dogs and cats getting along. I agree with TC. I actually think Giddey could be a steal for the right team/system. He has been miscasted. If typecasted, I think he thrives.

I'd offer the Minnesota pick + Filler

He's on a downward trajectory. Right now, he's at his lowest value considering how bad he looked in the playoffs.
Personally, I don't value him all that much. He has to be in a perfect situation (like OKC) in order to succeed.

Don’t want him in POR.
The franchise is hyper sensitive to this kind of greasiness.

You are in 2nd apron so the only filler possible is conley (no trade clause), Reid or the other highpaying starters?

He'll be the centrepiece for an all star piece for the Thunder.
I'm expecting a Lauri trade.

Judging from the above poll hes not being valued as a centrepiece

He's a floor raiser, but ceiling is limited.
Contender like OKC needs to move on drom him, but many teams will improve by adding him.
OKC lost both games he didn't start BTW and barely played, his +/- wasn't bad in games 3+4, having a shooter instead of him didn't magically unlock OKC offense and it felt like OKC needs a PG next to SGA and JDub, I really wouldn't make conclusions that assume Presti isn't seeing ans obvious hole in his lineup.

I wish PDX had the balls to make a move for him. Especially if we can buy low.
Would love to move RWIII for Giddey, but think OKC reasonably can’t make that move without seeing RWIII back in action and healthy.

I'd build around a Caruso/Giddey swap, dude is getting seriously underrated.

Re: What's Your Valuation/Best Offer for Josh Giddey
He's a top-10 pick level because of what he has shown when things go right. Improvements to his range shooting by +5% would be significant, plus he contributes significantly to non-heliocentric offense, which is really good for a bench unit leader or floor raiser for a team in need of initiation.
Playoffs showed that he still has holes in his game, but they shouldn't be his defining trait, because this was his first PO series and he played against a team with a lot of tools to make life harder for him on the court.
This is a buy-low moment if ever, and I think 1 FRP with the right protections would get it done, but definitely not a protected 1-15 type FRP, would have to be 1-6, or something like a 12, 10, 8, descending if not conveyed etc.

Re: What's Your Valuation/Best Offer for Josh Giddey
During the RS, I liked Giddey on the offensive end when he came off the bench or when SGA didn't play; on defense he simply struggles defending the POA and the perimeter in general; I think his shooting woos is a bit overblown but he has shown he can get in his own head. He definitely has the talent, just not emotionally tough enough yet, and certainly struggles to exert his will or any kind of dominance on the floor when needed - atm at least. It doesn't bode well being passed by J-Will in his second year and Chet in his rookie year on offense and getting exposed and benched in the playoffs (though he didn't help OKC win the series, he didn't lose it either). Can't discount the emotional rollercoaster off the court either.
Still, he's only 21 and OKC had the best record in the West and the 2nd best record in the league with him playing a prominent role on the 2nd youngest roster. I don't think I would trade him yet, I would use the #12 and draft a big or use it to trade for one and then wait till the deadline next season to decide what to do.

I guess we will see but if he's going cheap then a team is getting a bargain.
I just don't see him going for less than being a centrepiece for an all star level player

In this current draft? A top 10 pick.
I'd much rather have Giddey than Topic and Topic is a top 10 pick this year
