Lu Dort trade value.

Let's say Paul George decides to sign with the Thunder so OKC has to move Lu Dort.
What picks are they getting back for him from like the Pistons or another team with cap space or a TPE?

They don't need to move Dort. They can just move Giddey/Kenrich/Dieng. Why trade one of your key playoff pieces when you can trade unplayable playoff pieces instead?

So much this. PG is the Giddey replacement, not the Dort one. No need at all to move a key starter over moving out less important pieces.

SGA/Dort/J Dub/PG13/Chet is an absolutely killer line-up with incredible size 1-3 to make up for the lack of size at the 4 and 5. Add an MLE Center, keeping Wiggins/Joe/Jaylin/Cason and you have a 10-deep roster to soak up regular season minutes and tons of assets (#12, future 1sts galore) to continue to round out the roster over the next few years.

I'm on the team keep dort. Doesn't matter who signs with OKC, they have 25 minutes at least to have dort running around and disturbing people.
Giddey is moved, Kenrich too

Does that get them all the way to $50m in cap space?

Dort makes 16.5 Million
Giddey + Kenrich + Dieng make > 20 Million

Yeah, but I was thinking they would need to dump Dort and one of those guys and those three are less interesting to talk about.

I get the idea, but it just doesn't make sense for OKC to take 1 step back for 2 steps forward when they have a wealth of assets already.

They don’t need to. But remember, need to give to get.
“But, but, but Presti has a ton of picks.” Agreed. He just needs to A) find a team who actually wants a picks package and B) has a player he wants to trade for (fits his roster and core).
If that perfect scenario exists, of course, keep Dort. But if Dort is needed to get ideal player - in sub of quantity picks - Presti should of course include Dort.

yeah, I trade the trio and 12th if needed.
Get some kind of varying value back for all three and add a center however I can.
I see no realistic deal with Dort since his trade value doesn’t necessarily match his on court value and OKC has enough assets to get anyone without him. No team is going to walk away from a deal because OKC offers two future firsts instead of Dort.. What deal is really be held up by OKC doing that?
The only fake idea is if OKC signs Paul George and then wanting to match another guy making 20-25+ million dollars

We aren't replacing two starters 2 months after finishing 1st in the West and showing that our playing style is effective in the playoffs even if we need some improvements (better back up big and hopefully a good PF). It's already a big deal to move one starter and I hope Presti finds the right guy to replace Giddey.

I don't think they will. But Boston replaced multiple starters after a long stretch of being a really good team. And sp far its worked an absolute treat.
I don't think OKC should rule anything out. If we say upgrading Giddey(whether he remains on the roster or not) is nearly a given, I wouldn't rule out upgrading another starter if the right opportunity comes up.

Boston wasn't improving though...they were good/very good for 6 years or so but never good enough. They tried with their roster during a long time.
..and it's also about opportunity as you said. Nobody thought Jrue was gonna be available. Not saying we can't switch two starters but need to have a very good reason to.

If you need make capspace for PG, you absolutely move those 3 first.
Take minimal value if required or even pay if needed to dump Kenrich into capspace.
Doubt there’s much issue moving Giddey or Dieng into capspace in separate deals for some smallish value.
