Pistons: Brandon Ingram, Jerami Grant, Jonas Valanciunas
After several years of awfulness, Pistons try to get respectable
Pelicans: Jalen Duren, 5th pick
Pels unload salary and do a reset
Trail Blazers: Jaden Ivey, Evan Fournier, 21st pick
Continue the rebuild and save salary

This is A LOT for Jerami Grant and maybe even more for Brandon Ingram.
Those guys fit pretty awful together too.
Defensively... Ausar can't play many minutes with these guys so wow, this is an awful defensive team.
Grant, Ingram, and Cade also want the ball a lot...

Reeks of desperation move, I know Pistons have been awful but his isn't the way. Back off the ledge, Pistons... don't do it.

Just what POR needs, a crappier version of Simons.

At least pistons actually want him to play minutes. Fournier isnt wanted/is getting released

This doesn't even make sense. Fournier and Jonas are free agents.
Expiring Ingram is not worth Duren and #5. I am not even sure if he is worth either.
Ivey makes 0 sense to Portland, they have their own guards that play 0 defense to develop alread, and Grant is not worth a lot considering his contract status.

But looks like Detroit is overpaying for both.
Would rather see Detroit trade Cade and just close their eyes for another year than do this.. but I think Ivey and Duren can be taken out and the other teams still likely consider it (once Jonas and Evan are taken out as well)

Honestly, this reads like it was written by the Pelicans and Blazers.

I agree, I think they're overpaying for both.

If this was proposed by a POR fan it might have something we want or need instead of a bench guy, a bust and a pick in a draft when we already have 4 picks in that draft.

I could see something with Jerami to DET but this seems steep for DET from all angles.
Grant for Stewart and some SRP would get it done for me.

“Edwards” in the title means someone else to fans outside of DET.

I could see ingram to detroit. Duren isn't a good fit next to zion though. Maybe more like Ivey+#5 for ingram +#17.
Pelicans nab clingman at #5 as the shot blocking big to pair with zion and plug ivey in as a 6th man and see if they can develop him as a pg replacement down the line.
Pistons fill the gigantic SF whole in the lineup, and cade, ingram, and duren is a better balanced starting point to try to build around.

I could see Grant to Detroit. He's a good fit there (they need shooting and defense, but don't need rebounding). Det can give immediate cap relief to Portland and some minor asset (possibly Stewart as mentioned). Ivey back to Portland makes no sense (IMO too much value and clearly a terrible fit).
I could see Ingram to Detroit but I don't like it. in many ways he has the same limitations as Cade does (ball-dominant, poor off-ball, frequent injuries). I don't feel that his trade value is that high. If NO feels that they need to make a move, don't want to move Zion and there isn't much market for Ingram then the Pistons may make a move.

Acquiring Ingram isn’t the hard part. He’s got one year left on his deal and probably thinks he deserves a max extension.
