Best offer for 13.
So the Kings have 13 in this draft and I expect Monte to face a board where the best players are Carter, McCain and Collier. Miami sits at 15 and will almost for sure grab the best of the lot.
The Kings already have a crowded back court and drafting another guard will only increase the crowding a piss off players like Monk they hope to resign.
What is your best offer to jump Miami and take the guard of your choice……

If Monk is gone in FA (don’t kings only have early bird?), wouldn’t you want to draft McCain or Carter?

No still stacked with Fox Mitchell Huerter Ellis Jones Duarte etc and very little at forward. Some may argue but that’s a draft board thread. Assume Kings are open to moving the pick.

I think the Jazz would offer Collins, or Clarkson who has some value as a veteran bench player.

Not original, but Grant for Huerter, Mitchell, 13.

The the pick 13 probably doesn’t net much better than a later pick. Wonder if NOP would swap 17 and 21.
Kings get a shot at taking 2 for 1 and take a shot at a player falling or Klintman, Tyler Smith, or a back up center like Edey or Ware.

Collins probably doesn't have positive value. Clarkson can score in clutch situations when the defense tightens up, where many players even all-star types freeze up it's an underrated skill. Also, the 13th pick doesn't have good value this year.

Kuzma for #13 and a future full lottery protected pick that turns into 2 seconds if not conveyed so the Wiz can claim they got their price of 2 1sts.

Re: Best offer for 13.
This is a decision I would only make at the time of the pick. Everyone knows the Kings would like to trade down or out if the price is right, but I'm willing to bet one of the wings will drop out of the top 10 and fall to 13.
I do agree with Sactowndog that even if Monk leaves the Kings are fine at guard if there are no other trades and would be looking to add a player on the wing or at least add some much-needed length.
IF the guards are only there I would consider a trade down or for another option.

I would rather go with a Blazers offer of #13/Huerter/Davion for Grant.
I don't see a world where Kuzma fetches a lottery pick and another potential 1st round pick.

Re: Best offer for 13.
Kevin Huerter
Sasha Vezenkov
Chris Duarte
#13
For
Jerami Grant
#34
#40
That leaves the Kings with…
PG - Fox / Mitchell
SG - Ellis / Monk (resigned) / Jones
SF - Murray / Barnes
PF - Grant / Lyles
C - Sabonis / Len (resigned)
Picks - #34 / #40 / #45
…and a minutes rotation of…
PG - Fox (34) / Mitchell (14)
SG - Ellis (22) / Monk (26)
SF - Murray (30) / Barnes (16) / Ellis (2)
PF - Grant (30) / Lyles (10) / Barnes (8)
C - Sabonis (34) / Len (10) / Lyles (4)
Fox = 34 min
Sabonis = 34 min
Murray = 30 min
Grant = 30 min
Monk = 26 min
Ellis = 24 min
Barnes = 24 min
Mitchell = 14 min
Lyles = 14 min
Len = 10 min
…that seems like a well balanced rotation.

Yeah neither of those players are returning #13

Re: Best offer for 13.
Uta doesn't really have forwards to deal that have value. Our closest value player is probably Sexton, but he is too redundant.
I think the Kings should just make the pick. They can find a forward that makes sense (e.g., Tristan da Silva) or move down. Best player for 13 is probably going to be underwhelming, best I can think of is Jerami Grant?

I don't think Kuzma is as valuable as 13 on his own.

Important to remember-- Pelicans will most likely defer the Lakers pick to 2025 unprotected LAL 1st in the more loaded draft. Defer decision must be before June 1st, so we'll have thst official soon. So NOP will only have pick #21.

Who would you trade to move up to #6 with Charlotte?Sactowndog wrote:So the Kings have 13 in this draft and I expect Monte to face a board where the best players are Carter, McCain and Collier. Miami sits at 15 and will almost for sure grab the best of the lot.

What is your best offer to jump Miami and take the guard of your choice……
Obviously we swap picks and we would like a rotation player in return.

What rotational player from Portland would Hornets want to swap 6 for 14?

I would do Sharpe for #6 straight up.

If you don't like that just give us Kris Murray and pick swap. I like Da Silva and Kyshawn George as a trade back option.
