Clippers/Nuggets/Wizards biggish

Post#1 » by Texas Chuck » Sun Jun 2, 2024 9:02 pm

Note: Could cut Denver out here if the Clippers don't care about getting a pick back.

Clippers trade: Powell/Tucker/Hyland/Jones/2030 1st (unprotected)
Clippers get: Michael Porter Jr/#28

Nuggets trade: Michael Porter Jr/#28
Nuggets get: Kyle Kuzma

Wizards trade: Kuzma
Wizards get: Powell/Tucker*/Hyland*/Jones*/2030 LAC 1st unprotected

*none of these players are selling points. All could be waived/bought out if the Wizards have better uses for roster spots.

Clippers just keep spending Ballmer's money and go get a really talented forward shooter and pick up a pick this year to add in what will hopefully be an eventual cheap contributor. Re-sign George and Harden and keep trying.

Nuggets save the money to pay KCP and get a more well-rounded player as they got exposed a bit against Minny with Porter being more one-dimensional(less of an issue in LA)

Wizards probably look to flip Powell, but the main get here is you take a chance at a franchise changing pick during what you hope is in the middle of you being a good team again. Clippers stars will all have aged out and with no control of their own picks, you hope this returns a really good pick. And in the meantime you get added financial flexibility.

I would want Kispert + Kuzma if I'm Denver. Trading MPJ + a 1st to downgrade talent is not worth it.

I don't consider MPJ any more talented or better than Kyle Kuzma.

In fact, I consider Kuzma the better player.

Besides the CBA, I wouldn't want to give up the 30 first for Porter, and considering how the Clippers were towards him during the draft, I don't believe he'd want to be a Clipper anyway.

Oh it's his team the rest of his team sucks?

This is some idiotic logic. Kuzma was a big part of a championship team already, just like MPJ. Did you forget about 2020?

-Kuzma is paid less
-Kuzma is a better defender
-Kuzma is a better playmaker

If they switched places, you would say the same about Porter. Porter isn’t nearly good enough to make a bad team good.
