OKC - Washington

OKC trade: Holmgren, 12
Washington trade: Deni, 2
Why for OKC: spend their capspace on Claxton or Hartenstein (4/100 declining), add a great/cost controlled glue guy to fill PF and draft one of Sarr/Risacher
Why for Washington: add a potential franchise player in Holmgren
Hartenstein or Claxton
Deni
Jalen
Dort

Any Chet trade is a nonstarter for what should be obvious reasons. Not sure why you thought this made sense for OKC.

Yeah seems way too drastic.
Just do #12+Filler for Kuzma.

Pure crazy thinking okc would trade chet.

I'm a wizards fan, and a staunch Deni supporter, and I think this should be locked. Nothing on the wizards is worth Chet.
Edit: I figure okc would do it for Deni, the #2, and the unprotected 2025 pick. At that point the Wizards would say no.

From Wiz point of view . . . sure, sign us up. OKC shouldn't do it though.
Kuzma for 12 + Filler, depends on the filler but it's worth talking about.

Horrible value for OKC, and I like Deni more than most. He just doesnt have this kind of value in a draft that by all accounts is not

Deni is arguably the best non-rookie contract values in the league and it still makes no sense for OKC.

I appreciate the effort. Two big problems here are 1) it's the wrong direction for OKC, and 2) Deni isn't nearly worth this much.
I do really want Deni on OKC though.

This is the first Deni trade proposal I've seen on this board in 3 months that I would actually do.

The solution (IRL, not on this board where the Deni valuations are insanely high) is for OKC to stack up assets for Deni. But you were smart to let me mention it.

Yep.
Giddey + 12 + higher of OKC / MIA 2025 FRP + 3+ SRP for Deni.

We talked about Giddey on the Wizards board. He can probably be had for Kuzma straight up so he's not adding value. The picks are unimpressive to say the least. Easy no from the Wizards.

You think the evaluations for Avdija are high here? I got slammed by several posters on the Wiz board for suggesting trading him to ATL for the #1 pick and drafting Sarr + Rishacher. Not a single poster agreed with the deal.
But clearly the Holmgren evaluations are significantly higher.

That's because Deni is a better player than the likely outcome of Sarr. Sarr's ceiling is Mobley, which is a bit better than Deni, but his floor is something more like Jaxson Hayes or maybe Nic Claxton. I'm sorry but I'd much prefer a sure-thing versatile 5-position defender and point forward than Nic Claxton with a Mobley theoretical upside. You can find a Nic Claxton for the MLE in free agency every other year.

Not saying you are wrong, but I am saying there is serious love for Deni Avdija among the fan base that sees him the most. True for Bilal Coulibaly too, though haven't seem any trades offered for him.

No way OKC trades Giddey for Kuzma straight up. If that's the market value for Giddey then we're keeping him.

I'm pretty sure that's the market value for Giddey.

Then we'll gladly keep him.
Separately, what picks would it realistically take to trade for Deni?
