OKC/MIL/CHI/POR

Edit: This has been split into two separate trades since the Bucks cannot aggregate salaries.

Trying to find a way to add some perimeter defenders to Milwaukee's roster without breaking up their Big 3. Not sure if value needs to be added and from which team but IMO this seems fair to all parties. Thoughts?

Trade #1
MIL Out: Lopez and #23
MIL In: Caruso, Thybulle and Jaylin Williams

Bucks add two defensive upgrade and a young center for depth.

CHI Out: Caruso
CHI In: OKC 2025 1st (Lottery Protected)

Chicago gets a future 1st for Caruso.

POR Out: Thybulle
POR In: Dieng and #23

Portland sheds some salary to help them drop further below the tax apron while adding a young big and a late 1st.

OKC Out: Dieng, J. Williams and OKC 2025 1st (Lottery Protected)
OKC In: Lopez

OKC adds some much needed size to their front court while only giving up what will likely be a late 1st round pick and filler.

Trade #2
MIL sends Connaughton to CHI for cash considerations/draft rights/Top 55 protected 2nd and $9.4MM TPE.

Milwaukee can't aggregate salary, so this needs to be a 2 parter for Milwaukee.

The question is, how do they do it legally?

Brolo makes more than caruso and thybulle combined.

The weird part is why is thybulle worth so much in OP.
He's not worth either dieng or 23 to me

Salaries work without Pat C in the deal. He could be traded in a separate deal for draft rights to XYZ, cash considerations or a top 55 protected 2nd.

Edit: This also allows the Bucks to create a $9.4MM TPE if they can remain under the 2nd tax apron.

Maybe swap #23 for #33 and have Portland can send a future 2nd to Milwaukee.

Hell ya for Portland. Would even throw 40 in.

I would prefer to move Grant and Simons but I am a Dieng stan.

This is brutal value wise for the Thunder, right?

From some of the trade proposals I've seen on here, this is fair value for Brook but could be wrong.

I dont think it would still work but if OKC could send out Kenrich in this deal it makes it alot more palatable. I think MIL would have to send out another 4.55M which would likely necessitate 2 of Marjaun, AJ, Livingston, Andre JR going out.

That allows OKC to get a backup C in Brook but helps not use so much of their cap space so they still have flexibility to upgrade the PF spot.

This is my bad. I always think Jaylin Williams is the good one. I was thinking this was Jalen.

Yep.
BroLo is not remotely worth this much.

The #23 ought to be going to Chicago in exchange for Portland's future first being returned.

Are you suggesting Kenny Hustle goes to Milwaukee? If so, he could be added to the second trade where the Bucks send Pat C to the Bulls for a top 55 protected 2nd/cash considerations so they don't have to include more salary filler.

We don't need the 23 send that to someone else where value is needed Dieng will do nicely

Maybe #23 goes to Chicago along with the 2025 OKC 1st since it's been rumored Chicago was wanting multiple 1st for Caruso at the trade deadline. I could see this still being the case especially when trading within the division.

I personally would think OKC would be smart to try and include Kenrich - he has been a great role player but he couldnt sniff the floor in the PO's and moving him to offset the cap space Brook would eat into would be smart IMO -

Lopez is 23M in 24/25
Dieng (5.03) + Kenrich (6.67M) comes to 11.07

That means the deal only shaves about 11M off cap space for OKC -

SGA 35.86
Lopez 23
Dort 16.5
Chet 10.88
Giddey 8.35
Cason 5.55
Jalen 4.77
Joe 2.16
Jaylin 2.02
Wiggins 1.99
#12 4.77 (EST)
1 Cap Hold 1 (EST)
TOTAL 112.08
CAP 141
SPACE 28.92

So assuming Giddey goes out they could take a player making up to like 37M in a trade to fill that PF slot.

I think #23 is needed to get the Bulls' attention. OKC's 2025 lottery protected pick doesn't replace their own sent to SAS but it's there. But come on OKC should be in the conference semis unless their top 7 get injured so that's not enough for Caruso. Let everybody say how weak the draft is, the Bulls will take 2 chances at finding somebody. They gladly return the rights to the PORT pick which doesn't look like it will ever show up.

I don't see Pat Conaughton doing anything for the Bulls. they need to get younger and run and he's neither. That $9.5M TPE is worth way more than Pat.
