AD for KAT

Post#1 » by Asianiac_24 » Mon Jun 3, 2024 9:11 pm

Simple 1 for 1, AD for KAT

Why for Lakers?
- Gets the younger big at a slight downgrade. LeBron likes shooters, and KAT is a big that can space the floor for him.

Why for Wolves?
- Go all in on their big, defensive build. AD/Gobert in the front court is going to have some spacing issues, but the defense will be absolutely phenomenal.

I think you'd need ADs blessing.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Good god, running a NAW, Edwards, McDaniels, Davis, Gobert lineup could be filthy defensively.

I don’t think Minnesota does this as AD isn’t the strongest floor spacer and could make it a lot easier to really crowd the paint with him+Gobert on the floor. If I was LAL I’d be asking for multiple pick swaps arguing that I’m giving up an All-NBA level player for an All Star.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

If Anthony Davis isn’t committed to finishing his career in MIN (which I doubt he would be), I don’t think MIN can say yes. In this age of player empowerment, players of AD’s level can demand a trade, and MIN might get stuck, especially if he only names one destination. Love KAT or hate him, no one can doubt Towns commitment to Minnesota and helping Anthony Edwards become a star, and those qualities are hard to replace.

This made sense before the acquisition of Gobert.

It could work for Minnesota, but I'm not sure the complete lack of spacing works.

For the Lakers, AD is a Top 5 player when healthy and locked-in, which isn't always but is much higher ceiling than what we have seen from Towns on a game to game basis.

I think the idea would be to pair AD and Towns.

Gobert + Reid + #27 + 2031 Wolves 1st

FOR

AD + Vincent

Lakers get more ammo for their guard acquisition. Rui + Russell + Picks = ___________

Gobert | Reid
Reid | James
James | JV
Reaves
???

Wolves go all-in.
AD
Towns
McDaniels
Edwards | NAW
Conley | Vincent

Makes no sense for either team.

Hawks need to be in here somewhere as we could use either of those guys to pair with Johnson and Sarr. We got a PG for either of the 2 teams depending who they want.

Lebron would have a head full of grey hair playing with KAT for a full season. That man IQ would drive Bron Bron cray cray!

Lakers can get much more for AD.

Done yesterday, despite having a soft spot for Karl-Anthony Towns.

Mike Conley / Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Anthony Edwards / Wendell Moore Jr. / Jaylen Clark
Jaden McDaniels / Josh Minott
Anthony Davis / Leonard Miller
Rudy Gobert / Naz Reid

+#27 and #37

Free Agents: Kyle Anderson, Monte Morris, Jordan McLaughlin, Luka Garza, and Daishen Nix
