Fischer said Knicks are trying to trade their FRP/move up
https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10123529-knicks-trade-rumors-ny-looking-to-move-1st-round-picks-in-2024-nba-draft.amp.html

Miami trade: Robinson, 15
Miami receive: 24, 38

Detroit trade: fake 2nd
Detroit receive: Robinson, 25

NYK trade: 24, 25, 38
NYK receive: 15

Why for Miami: save money
Why for Detroit: get a late first and a shooter for eating 30M over 2 yrs
Why for NYK: consolidate for a rookie who can better contribute now

I'd be willing for Detroit

I think NYK would need to be supremely confident that they will retain Hartenstein before they'd consider moving Robinson, so that's a conplication that might nix the entire deal

Ooops, never mind. It's clear in the post, I just misread it.

I'd still be willing for Detroit even for the lessor Robinson

Your link says nothing about trading 3 picks to move up 10 spots for a rookie. It says ... (some BS than Kevin Durant )
A swing and a miss.

"Definitely word around the league that they're looking to move those," Fischer said.

But Fischer said he believes it will be more difficult than in years past for the Knicks to find a partner willing to trade down in the draft."

"The Athletic's Sam Vecenie similarly reported in May that the Knicks are "seen league-wide as a potential trade partner, as coach Tom Thibodeau is not likely to want multiple first-round rookies on his team."

Sounds like they are trying to move up..?

I think New York wants to trade pick(s) with Bogdanovic to get a win-now player, not package their picks for a higher pick.

Something like #24 + #38 + Bogdanovic for Player X and then Draft a Player at #25.

i thought about making it a 4 teamer and completing cgf's caruso dream by sending bogey and 15 to chicago.. but decided to keep it as is for now

I think Chicago would take #24 and #38

i think their management likes caruso's role in helping them make play in and rumored to ask for 2 1sts for him, so i don tthink they will take it. their fans certainly wanted more in recent threads

I don't really see the point. Personally, I think there are a couple really good role player types that could be available at our picks that seem less risky than anyone who would be available at 15.

Miami will not trade #15 to dump Duncan.

If Detroit wants Duncan, they should offer the Heat a future 2nd round pick and cut the knicks out of the deal.

Absolutely 100% would do as a Pistons fan.

I don't think Robinson is a negative value anymore. He's still a top tier 3 point shooter and he played solid defense this season. Last season he was a disaster but this season he recovered his trade value.

Detroit would obviously want him, Detroit would likely trade a 2nd and raw cap space for either Robinson. Duncan or Mitchell.

I like this from the Knicks perspective - but I’m a fan of Ja’Kobe Walter who could be available at this fit and I love his fit next to Brunson long term.

I think #24 + #38 + Future WAS first for #15 without Detroit involved makes more sense here. Miami picks up a high 2nd this year, a likely high 2nd in 2026 (although it has a chance to be a 1st) and saves on the rookie scale contract.

NY sits at 15 and 25 in this years draft and still has 2 additional future 1s on hand

If we're not in 2022, Miami won't make this trade.

To echo the sentiments of my fellow Heat fans, we should be paid for Duncan. He's definitely got value. I'd still prefer to move Herro.

The only reason Miami will do that trade is the “tax”.
For sure Miami wants to keep him, but the tax is a concern.

I do not believe you can move Robinson into space and receive value back for him. And I like him fine as a player. I also do not believe Miami should use their pick to dump him. Both seem wrong.

I'm cool with this for Detroit and NY, but I think it falls apart pretty quickly with Miami.

So what is the value for Robinson?

I don't see the #15 and Robinson for #5. But also don't necessarily think Quentin Grimes for Robinson is all that enticing either.
