BULLS
In:3
Out: Caruso/11/Blazers FRP
Bulls in need of young talent, take advantage of an uncertain Draft at the Top and Houston's little need in that range to advance
HOUSTON
In:Caruso/11/Blazers FRP
Out:3
Houston getting a winning player that Udoka would surely like, drops a few spots in a flat draft lottery outside the top 2
thoughts?
Who do you think the Bulls choose in this scenario? Clingan?

I have a hard time seeing Houston drop this far for Caruso and a pick with protections that ensure the pick will never be very good and you will have to wait years to get it(if you ever do).
No idea who Chicago would draft, but its an amazingly good deal for them.

I think it could be possible but it might be a situation where Houston takes a guy they like at 3 , that Chicago also likes, and then we see who is available at 11 on draft night, to possibly swap. I don't think it happens before then.
I like Dillingham for example, and if he is there at 11, I would do it.

This idea makes sense. Caruso is one of the best fitting pieces in the league-literally any team could use him and he's got a cheap salary (although now expiring-but extending or resigning is easier for guys you already have). Plus, he's a crowd/player favorite and awesome culture-setter
I'd rather have the Bulls take the BPA of whoever drops in the lotto, and trade Caruso for a pick in the teens and some savings

yeah I think falling all the wa to 11 is a bit risky without seeing who is there, maybe it could be something like Lars laid out but feel like stuff like that almost never plays out

Think Portland or SAS or someone is needed to bridge the gap. This feels way to good for Chicago.
Chicago doing Caruso/11 for 7 still worth it. Or Caruso/Portland first for their first back from SAS, with SAS ending up with 3rd and 4th..

The PORT pick is just an asset on a 3X5 card, it's just there.
I don't see who the Bulls think they can get at #3 that plays enough to offsset giving up Caruso and #11. Their major need is a PF, is there a difference maker there at #3? They've got annually improving and signed to friendly contracts White and Dosunmu at guard,. Heck they've still got Lavone. Are they resigning DeRozan or resigning Williams to take over at the 3. Vucevic at center last time I checked.
I'm not giving up Caruso to move up 8 spots for a kid who isn't going to start maybe not even by the end of the season
