I know I've tried a version of this months before.
THJ
Powell
Prosper
for
Cam Johnson
For the Nets this is clearing money for 25 free agency while also getting a look at Prosper.
For Dallas, Cam comes into to provide the spacing THJ was supposed to provide. Only with more size and youth. Also clears up some roster spots.

If they are really all in on 2025 free agency then it's not bad. But I think that's a bad plan, those days seem gone. This team needs a full rebuild

Even in a full re-build, Prosper and a chance to re-sell the cap space still has something for Brooklyn, though right?

i like this for both. I don't think Cam Johnson has a lot of trade value on a 3/69M contract, and that a prospect like Prosper and cap relief is probably the best they could hope to get. And Dallas has a need for his skills
investigate Adam Silver

I think brooklyn can do better than this for CamJ. Detroit fans entertained a ivey dor johnson trade and would def take him into space + give minor assets IIRC

This feels like a 1st or so short. Not a bad idea for either side though.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I'd be pretty surprised if IRL Detroit would do Ivey and cap space for him. But yeah obviously as always, if a team can get a better offer they should take a better offer. And that's without question a better offer.

Yea but in my mind they can probably take worse salary + better compensation?
But in the real world this is probably a good compromise. Keep the cap space dream alive + pick up a prospect.
Just not sure I see the 2025 free agency dream for them.
Most of the guys are going to re-up for maxs. The only guy here to plan around is Mitchell, and in that case you don't need to open all the space for that.
If I was the nets and banking on FA, Id try to use everything I had now to add someone to Mikal, and keep space for Mitchell.

Cam was pretty ordinary when he actually played this season and he’s not a youngster anymore
