Not a super sexy idea. I don't think any of these teams fans will LOVE it, but maybe it's a solid option all around? Here it goes...

LAL gives: G Gabe Vincent, F Rui Hachiamara, C Christian Wood
LAL gets: G CJ McCollum

Why? If DLo leaves they replace him with a viable starter. If DLo stays now they can move him for a forward. CJ isn't great, but neither is what they're giving up. He addresses needs for scoring/shooting/ball handling to help support Lebron. They get the best player in the deal, albeit an imperfect one.

NOP gives: C CJ McCollum, #22
NOP gets: C Brook Lopez, C Christian Wood, G MarJon Beacuchamp, F Chris Livingston

Why? They get an ideal C to play next to Zion as 3&D piece. The rest are filler contracts. Leaves a hole at PG, but filles one at C. They give up a pick because of the money saved and Lope being a tougher to find piece than CJ at PG.

MIL gives: C Brook Lopez, G MarJon Beacuchamp, F Chris Livingston
MIL gets: G Gabe Vincent, F Rui Hachiamara, #22

Why? They have limited avenues to shake things up. But they can play Portis as the stretch 5 next to Giannis in the starting lineup. They can find a backup 5 in free agency or rely on Giannis kicking down to the 5 more for the rest of the minutes. Vincent and Rui give them shotmakers outside of their top 3 guys for a hopeful infusion of offensive juice. The draft pick can be used in trades or to add another piece to the rotation hopefully.

Can milwaukee aggregate salary? They are really close to 2nd apron

I don't really get it for Milwaukee. They get significantly worse on the court and #22 and #23 combined aren't really acquiring a higher-impact player.

Honestly, if I am NOP, I think I just trade C.J. for the Lakers pile.

Love it for LA. Hate it for the Bucks which makes me hate it for the Pels because without the Bucks that pile of stuff from LA does nothing for them.

This deal works on the trade machines. But looking closer, there might be downstream impacts. I think the trade machine only accounts for the current roster, which MIL is in compliance with here. But filling out the roster and actually signing the picks could take them over. I'd have to look further.

Just kinda meh on it as a Lakers' fan. Don't get me wrong, the Lakers end up winning here talent wise, but they severely hurt their depth and I'm not sure they'll be able to create enough depth to do anything.

I think LAL owes here. And would pay.

Maybe it’s just a 17th for 21st or something minor, but it has to cost something to get the talent upgrade.

LAL wouldn't be interested IMO especially if D-Lo stays. Talent win but poor use of financials to regulate CJ to a spot up shooter.

I see the tricky part for LA in any trade is giving up more serviceable players than receive. They are already low on talent and need players who can play.

Well the Lakers (presumably) want to add a star (or semi-star or some vaguely big name). Doing that is going to take combining assets in some way.

Of course there is a credible argument that improving depth is a better way forward but that doesn't seem to be how the Lakers are thinking.

technically Vincent costed most of their non tax MLE (ie wasn't that cheap) and they dont have access to that anymore this year

Yeah and it was a bad signing. Is he better than Cam Payne? Dante Exum? Aaron Holiday?

I'll go against the grain here, I absolutely love this for Milwaukee. Rui is 26, he had a bad playoff performance, but last years was far better. Im looking at this in how can we better compete with Boston long term. And I'm also cool selling Brook before the full break down happens while I can get some value out of his as a player. Milwaukee needs some youth infusion and I'm comfortable moving Giannis to the 5 during the playoffs.

I also think without overcomplicating it, Vincent + 21 + 23 can be flipped to Chicago for something like Caruso.

Lillard - Bev - Caruso - Pat - Middleton - Rui - Giannis - Portis - FA Center

Honestly might prefer a healthy Vincent over CJ.

Not gonna work for the Bucks.
