CHI in: Josh Green, '25 DAL 1st, '26 DAL 1st swap rights.
CHI out: Caruso, Craig (PO).

Why? Get younger and starts their process of rebuilding, getting picks/youth for a 30-year-old Caruso.

White/Carter
Lavine/Dosunmo
DeRozan?/Green
Williams?/Phillips
Vucevic/MLE

DAL in: Middleton
DAL out: Hardaway, Green, '25 DAL 1st, '26 DAL 1st swap rights.

Why? Get an efficient 3rd scorer to help Kyrie/Luka and a seasoned vet that would help manage their load.

Doncic/Exum
Irving/Hardy
Middleton/Jones Jr?
Washington/Kleber
Lively/Gafford

MIL in: Hardaway, Caruso, Craig.
MIL out: Middleton.

Why? Some reason is money (try to avoid repeat 2nd apron) and also get more depth to help Giannis/Lillard.

Lillard/Beverley?
Caruso/Hardaway
Connaughton/Craig
Antetokounmpo/Portis
Lopez/#23 (Edey?)

This hardcaps dallas at first apron so you cant bring Jones jr back

In fact might even be illegal because it doesnt even leave room for empty capholds

Not to jack the thread, but my immediate first thought:

Middleton to new orleans

Ingram to cleveland

Malcolm brogdon and veteran depth to mil

Okoro, youth and futures to portland

So Milwaukee is trading away the best player yet only receive one player with positive value (Caruso) and no draft picks? Chicago is stealing value here while the Bucks take a big step backwards. Hard pass from Milwuakee.

Love it for the Bulls, they also stop taking phone calls in case Milwaukee realises what's happening.

Yeah, I'll just hold onto our Celtic killer and find another way to add Caruso.

Typically Depth is defined as players who can play in an NBA game, and for Milwaukee, that definition goes a step further and Depth is defined as "Players who can play NBA Playoff minutes".

Random 10-12 men aren't "depth" for Milwaukee. Next trade.

Caruso in a trade and kcp in free agency would do wonders.

Personally, i think the portis for wiggins rumors made a tonne of sense for both teams!

Sure, they can make sense, they aren't really realistic gives salary constraints, and that's half a trade!

Im guessing connaughton would have to have been included and a likely hold up, but thats just my speculation

Nope, I already explained to you in the other thread.

Milwaukee likely can't aggregate salary [combine multiple players salary to equal a larger salary].

Not sure if you’re mistaking me for someone else but ill take your word for it on both counts

Just to confirm im with you:

If mil was hellbent on wiggins theyd have to trade middletons 30- something alone for wiggins’ 28 and and a small secondary salary?

Basically this, no?
Cheers!

If Middleton is valued as the 2a on a championship team in 21, yeah this is bad for Milwaukee.
If Middleton is valued as the guy who missed half of the games over the last 3 years for various injuries, missed almost entire PO run on 22, and is 32 y/o, I think this is at least about as good as the Bucks can get...

If that's as good as the bucks could get for Middleton they won't trade him. How does the idea of selling Middleton for scraps help the bucks. He just looked lile playoff Khash against the pacers. Rather just hope we that again then trading him for guys who won't even be in rotation during the playoffs. Also getting sick of Caurso to bucks trades. The guy is more injury prone than Middleton. Is severely limited offensively and honesty a bad fit. We need a good on ball wing defender for the Tatums/Browns. Caruso isnt that guy imo.

I don't think the Bucks should trade Middleton, exactly for this reason, but he doesn't the same value as player as good as he is because of his injury history and age.

Well thats a valid opinion its not necessarily a fact. Value is extremely subjective and can be vastly different from team to team. For example I could see the Kings having quite a hig valie for Middleton compared with Clippers. Similar to Lopez if you find the right partner I believe you can make trade that gives the Bucks plus value on the court this year. The spurs for example could really benefit from attaining either player. Lopez is the perfect fit with Victor. Will defend down low and take on the Jokic post match ups. Also he allows Victor to play the super help defender. Lopez's most underrated skill is boxing out and space eating. This allowed so many Giannis rebound and transition scenarios. He can do that for Victor as well. Now what will the Bucks want in return is the issue. Kelson Johnson is bad for perhaps reroute him for a better fit.

Not much of a change for the Bulls, unless there are Lavine, DeRozan and Vucevic trades in the works to follow. A Caruso trade doesn't kick off a rebuild it comes near the end,

Caruso just isn't the primary piece they need to move, in fact if they keep DeRozan and Lavine they might as well hang onto Caruso in a run it back year.

Even then those picks aren't much, how far is DAL going to fall from the Finals this year, they likely add pieces even Middleton to get over the hump. So the 2025 pick is like 27th and unless they completely fall apart next year there's no swap for 2026.

leave the Bulls out of this one
