Phoenix trade: Little, 22
Phoenix receive: Exum, Craig
Dallas trade: THJ, Exum, 2025 top 8 protected 1st
Dallas receive: Little, Caruso
Chicago trade: Caruso, Craig
Chicago receive: THJ, 22, DAL 2025 top 8 protected 1st
Why for PHoenix: get out of little's contract and fill some holes on their roster (PG, backup 3/4)
Why for Dallas: add an elite defender
WHy for Chicago: get 2 1sts for expiring vets
add 2nd(s) as needed

Seems like Dallas should be getting 22nd and Chicago getting seconds from Dallas. Caruso shouldn’t be worth two firsts as an expiring, and I don’t see a Craig having value?
I just don’t see it. Or Dallas sending a couple 2nds and keeps their first. Dallas is earning a first eating Little here.
If this is the best Phoenix can do, they should just keep 22nd and draft one of the upperclassman in this draft. They shouldn’t be using value to save future money, way too pushed in.

yeah I can't see Phoenix trading their pick for 2 end of rotation guys(if that). And if Phoenix is paying to dump Little and get Exum and Craig, why is Dallas not getting that value? They give up the same caliber of player but they are the ones eating the money, not Chicago.

they did get that value but they rerouted it to get Caruso, whom i dont think Chicago will trade for an expected late 2025 1st and 2nds alone. 2 1sts is an overpay, but unfortunately chicago will need one and Dallas might not mind doing that via eating Little's contract given how they are contending for championship

I dont disagree with you on a 1st and 2nd(s) as fair value for chicago but they are not interested in trading him for fair value it seems.
I think exum and craig helps phoenix this year more than an upperclassmen rookie would

Yeah just no interest in paying 2 firsts for one year of Caruso. I'd simply move on. I can get another player who shores up the rotation just as much for 1 first and pocket the profit.

The Bulls require the 2 firsts for taking THJ who does nothing for them just showing up for one year. And that's also taking on more money than Caruso and Craig combined. You're including CHI to give up useful players and take on money to make the deal swing, you pay to get them involved. If DAL had been able to move him at the deadline last year they would have so nobody is likely interested for the last 30 games next year.

I don't see Pheonix valuing getting out of Little's deal. They need to use Little's salary as balast for someone like Mitchell.

THJ is a 6-7 Million player making 17 Million. He costs like 2 2nds to dump, not a 1st.
